Blackshirtsguru
I was wondering if anyone had any bad experiences with fans at any Husker away games? I have been to every stadium in the Big 12 during a Husker road game. I would say that the rudest fans by far were the KSU fans. The most cordial fans to me anyways, were the Baylor fans. HuskerRob
I got a lot more grief from USC fans than i thought that i should have. i mean come on, they were coming off of three straight national championship game appearances, and the jibber jabber never ended. just my two cents. p.s. - i really couldnt stand their cheer....Beat! The Huskers! so lame Quote Link to comment
hack
p.s. - i really couldnt stand their cheer....Beat! The Huskers! so lame yah, that was busch league. and their stadium sucked, also. visitors had to sit on pink bleachers with chipping paint. very classy, usc. that's right up there with iowa painting their visitor's locker room pink. colorado, of course, is colorado. the worst i think detailed was nebraska's visit to happy valley. i guess penn state fans were fairly classless. so bad that the administrators issued a public apology to nebraska for their conduct. Cy the Cyclone
There was a guy in Manhattan that pegged me with about $20 in change....I spotted him after about the third nickel bounced off me on the sidelines...he'd wait till I turned around, wind up and a second or two later...TING! Guy had great accuracy and he and his buddies looked like they were having the time of their lives (K-State fans are apparently easy to amuse)....and he indirectly paid for my lunch the next day. Other than that...I remember CU fans we're pretty apathetic, NU fans were too loud, Missouri fans were vulgar and Kansas didn't have any fans. I think the OK State fans were probably the best I can remember. They were pretty civil...probably because they didn't have anything to get excited about and it was so damn hot down there that getting excited probably would have resulted in a heat stroke. I did spend a fair amount of time with decent amounts of roominess as a child. MU fans do have a large vulgar component, and we bringout the best in them. Quote Link to comment

THose guys would cause so many fights when they would come to Lawrence, there should have been a ring... Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
I don't really want to go over it again but let say that I and my 14 year old son taking in his first Husker game were harassed to the point where we were wondering weather or not we were safe. I have heard many folks here say that there were treated like gold by OU fans that exact same game so maybe I just ran into the wrong folks..?? Quote Link to comment

nhuskers5
Colorado by far. I was at the game Ross's senior year where the student section wouldn't stop throwing stuff on the feild and they had to keep taking breaks to clean it up There was one time in Lawrence with KU in 05 when they beat us, the KU fans were real jerks, but other than that they were great. GSG
In 2006, there was a 14 or 15 year old kid in Ames that tried to fight the entire section of NU fans. Security escorted him before he was destroyed. That same game I was punched in the face by a girl. She tried telling me how ISU was going to kill us. I replied that the NU band was better than their football team. Her boyfriend wisely calmed her down and took her someplace safe. Quote Link to comment
