DeathCultArmaggedon
By the way...8-4 Nebraska had 2 preseason votes...and 3-8 Michigan had 36. This is incredible...if this is not proof of a media bias, I don't know what is... Quote Link to comment

This is incredible...if this is not proof of a media bias, I don't know what is... Why? We finished 5-7 last year with what many thought was no hope of improving past 6-6. Michigan, while going through a complete offensive over-haul, was expected to have a decent defense, so I could see them receiving more pre-season votes than us. Quote Link to comment
illnino
Eh, preseason polls mean absolutely jack in the end. still would look cool to see a number in front of our name... haven't seen that or a while Quote Link to comment
cmb23
Yes. The 'media bias' and 'ESPN hates us' drone is getting old. Gotta realize that NU hasn't been overly-relevant nationally for almost a decade.... Quote Link to comment
redout22
If we win out and play someone good in a bowl game I think that we could be ranked in the early 20's but I dont think anything higher then that Quote Link to comment

I think they should wait until at least the third or fourth week to even put out any rankings. I agree they are stupid, but I'm glad they put them out. They give us something to talk about in those long-drawn out weeks/days before the season. That time period is SOO painful. Quote Link to comment
cmb23
HA! Talk about looking ahead. I just realized I put Nebraska as 8-4. Sorry, ye old Huskers are 7-4 on the season as of right now. Quote Link to comment

We'll have to beat some good teams to get ranked. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
I bet we have a consistent good defense with many less missed assignments and errors. Or offense will be fine IMO. If we finish 5-0 we should be and ranked. Preseason probably about 30th but will move up quickly if we take care of business. Quote Link to comment
