ssfranny
I just read an article that the new Tennessee coach may have contacted a recruit a day before he was named the new head coach of the Vols? Also its Jarvis Giles, someone the Huskers have been recruiting? Monte needs to go slap his kid upside the head! Scarlet Overkill
Sounds like Spurrier is just a whiner. I have no idea about the rules, but if Kiffin's on the Tennessee payroll and passed his test, then there should be no infraction. TO did something similar last year - let's consult him on this to see what the rule is. Quote Link to comment

strigori
also, he is less than two years removed from being a main recruiter for USC, unless it expires that fast, he may not need to retake it. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Another article I read said Kiffen had contacted the NCAA to get their permission prior to talking to any recruits. The SEC coaches are a bunch of cutthroats. They're all the time trying to get the next person in trouble. Quote Link to comment
huskerdude171
I have a feeling Kiffin is going to be a terrible hire. Remember the last team that hired a coach that the Raiders fired? Quote Link to comment

He MUST be a good recruiter, though: ------> Lane and Layla Kiffin are about as 'Ken and Barbie' as it gets..... Quote Link to comment

huskerswrkhavoc
Kiffin is not Callahan. Quote Link to comment
Touchdown Tommie
Kiffin will do an excellent job at Tenn....I think they will win the SEC and 4 years. The kids can relate to him and he works his tail off. Quote Link to comment

Scott heres link to story http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog...rn=ncaaf,125819 As shady as it may be, i dont think he violated anything. He wasnt technically hired yet, he may have known he was going to be the coach, but the paperwork hadnt gone through yet. Its all about technicalities, and good recruiters know how to dance all over that line without crossing it........well except Kelvin Sampson and Ricky Neuheisel. Quote Link to comment
husker B-rent
i hear that callahan may be top choice for the OC job at tenn......... Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
I have also heard that about Cali. I think he may be all right at OC. He was just a bad HC for a place like NE. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
Steve Spurrier can't keep his mouth shut. never has, never will Quote Link to comment
