my take on Bodtmann

Recommended Posts

Don't claim to know anything for sure, but the Omaha World Herald said that he or his coaches were asked to send film and never did, along with not being responsive to other wishes of the staff...... So, Bo cut him loose.... Bo also said that under the same circumstances, he would cut him loose agian, and will do the same to other recruits in the future, if they acted as Bodtmann.......

Something we all know well, DONT PISS BO OFF....... funny thing is that Bodtmann's coach blasted UNL and it sounds as if he was part of the problem.

according to people on this board that I trust, he wouldnt return the coaches phone calls, wouldnt send out his senior film..... so on

Which is why you cannot take some of these recruits at their word. They will say whatever makes them look good or whatever garners them the most attention because they know the coaches cannot respond. Even when Bodtmann does sign Pelini will not respond to this silly garbage Bodtmann and his coach have spouted because it is lose-lose for him.

It sucks for the University that we basically have to sit and take it, but maybe it makes Bodtmann and his coach feel better about themselves that they can possibly convince someone they hold no blame in any of this. I dunno.

:yeah

In the latest article about Butler (Bryce Brown's "adviser"), he has apparently instructed other kids to lie and say they had offers from Miami when they really didn't have offers from any DI schools. Of course the schools can't confirm or deny so it's basically the players' word. The purpose is to get attention for the kids.

Well that's when you ask the player to produce the written letter the school sent him confirming the offer(s) are valid.

Over on RSS a guy that's allegedly in-the-know said this "phony offer" stuff goes on more than folks realize. I'd bet there is more game-playing on both sides of recruiting than we like to think.
