skersOVRsc
Just trying to keep from going nuts waiting for football to start again. North 1 NU - Not just Kool-Aide 2 KU - Mainly because of Reising 3 MU - Thier offense graduated or went pro 4 CU - The RB Stewart will be a good spark 5 KSU - Bill will get them in line soon, but not yet 6 ISU - because they are ISU. South 1 UT - McCoy 2 OU - A battle woth UT for 1 just like every year 3 TT - Leach has gradually been getting better @ TT and I wonder when they will peak out 4 OSU - Perpetually underperform 5 UB - QB will slowly change Baylor football into something respectable 6 A&M - A long road for 2nd year staff Overall 1 UT 2 OU 3 NU 4 TT 5 KU 6 MU 7 OSU 8 CU 9 KSU 10 UB 11 A&M 12 ISU Thoughts? The big reason I give us the nod over KU is KU's conference schedule this year, but that means we can only lose two conference games cause I don't see KU losing in the North (except maybe to us, but Reesing and Co. will be tough). husker B-rent
North 1 NU - uh oh...someone can play defense. 2 KU - return most of their skill players, lose a lot of their already bad lines 3 CU - almost the whole Oline was injured last year 4 MU - they just lose a lot on both sides of the ball and also both of their coordinators 5 ISU - they want to play defense and their offense started to look good towards the end of the year 6 KSU - the game has passed by snyder, look back at his last two years as head coach.....sad. South 1 UT - lose a lot of defense but their offense should be good. 2 OU - slight down year, bradford will not look near as good because they lose a lot of oline. 3 OSU - Boone Pickens cowboys are starting to perform, should continue to get better 4 TTU - the definitely peaked last season and i wouldnt be surprised to see baylor above TTU 5 UB - their recruiting has looked better under briles and as such i expect their results to start looking better. 6 A&M - they have fallen hard and will continue to fall, bad coaching can really hurt a talented team.... Overall 1 UT 2 OU 3 NU 4 KU 5 OSU 6 CU 7 MU 8 TTU 9 UB 10 ISU 11 A&M 12 KSU i could see the top 3 being shuffled around a bit, but i think it will look pretty close to this... Quote Link to comment
huskerswrkhavoc
3 TT - Leach has gradually been getting better @ TT and I wonder when they will peak out 2008. Quote Link to comment
gobigredkent
Teams to be concerned with this year - Oklahoma State, Baylor (Griffin is a freak), and I hate to say it but Colorado. I think KU will be average at best... Quote Link to comment

redout22
Yeah just like what everyone else said I would flip OSU and T Tech I would also put OSU above MU and KU Quote Link to comment
Jonny Utah
North 1. Nebraska-The D continues to get better, 6-2 record should win the division 2. Kansas- They get us at home, but very well could lose 3 games to the South 3. Colorado-Injury bug hit them hard in '08, scary game in Boulder this year 4. Missouri-Lost too much on both sides of the ball, tough year for the Tigers 5. Kansas State-Tough team to read, their D should be improved. 6. Iowa State- new coach and they are Iowa State South 1. Oklahoma-return most of their Defense as well as Bradford, lower scoring games this year tho. 2. Texas-McCoy will carry the team on his back once again 3. Oklahoma State-very loaded, can they make a huge step this year? 4. Texas Tech-may have peaked, 4 to 5 losses this year 5. Baylor-Griffin will give defenses fits, but they are still Baylor 6. Texas A&M-Should be improved, but not quite enough 1. Oklahoma 2. Texas 3. Oklahoma State 4. Nebraska 5. Kansas 6. Texas Tech 7. Colorado 8. Missouri 9. Baylor 10. Texas A&M 11. Kansas State 12. Iowa State Quote Link to comment
skersRmyteam
just as long as a&m stays near the bottom and NU towards the top i'm all game for it Quote Link to comment

huzkerbob
Teams to be concerned with this year - Oklahoma State, Baylor (Griffin is a freak), and I hate to say it but Colorado. I think KU will be average at best... I agree about CU. They where already more competitive against us than KU was last season. Why does everyone expect The Jayhawks to improve after losing ALL their starting LBs? As for OSU, I'll believe it when I see it. Yes, I like what Gundy is doing in Stillwater. But I've been waiting for that big leap for a couple years now! As for Baylor, wake me up when they have more than a track star playing QB! Otherwise this list is about how things SHOULD play out, but this is college ball. Anything could happen. Quote Link to comment

I would flip OSU and TT because Robinson is coming back for OSU and TT will be breaking in a new quarterback and quite a few new starters. I would also flip BU and KSU because KSU has no returning qb and they have a brand new coach. BU has Griffin coming back with a team that could still be dangerous on any given saturday. SaturnDrew
Not bad. I do think Texas Tech is going to fall and fall big this next season. Something about a team cruising to a good regular season, flopping on their bowl game, and then losing so much talent on offense. I would actually put them in at 5th and move OSU to 3 and Baylor to 4. Just trying to keep from going nuts waiting for football to start again. glm09
1. Oklahoma 2. Texas 3. Nebraska 4. KU 5. OSU 6. MU 7. UB 8. CU 9. TT 10. A&M 11. KSU 12. ISU TT and KSU are going to be at the bottom. The last three are interchangable. As are 5-9. Those spots could come out in any order. I feel pretty confident that OU will win the south next year and go back to the National Championship Game, as much as i hate it. But i think next year the parity between the North and the South will be much smaller. The top of the South will be at another level, but the rest of the conference is a toss up, in my opinion. Next year it will be OU & UT, a group of 7-8 teams (I think NU will be on the top of that) and then a group of 2-3 that will be in a whole level of bad by themselves. Quote Link to comment
