huskermaniac
I heard awhile ago that Dezmon Briscoe would be academically uneligible for the 2009 season. Is this true or was it just a rumor? If true, do we become the clear-cut favorites to win the North? Quote Link to comment

rkhufu7
It's true but I am betting that he does play Kansas' defense split with Bill Young. They won't be beating any good teams w/o a defense. Quote Link to comment

I'm not saying Young isn't a good DC, but I think rkhufu7 had a bit of a hidden agenda in his statement. Hint: rkhufu7 seems to talk a lot about Okie State... coincidence that Young is there now? I think not. Quote Link to comment
tmfr15
KUs performance last year was a definite step backwards. Nebraska pasted them with a first-year head coach. The Hawks once again will have a lot to prove Briscoe or no Briscoe. Quote Link to comment

We've been dominated the last 2 trips...I was at both of then. Quote Link to comment

I think the hiring of Miller will help the D tremendously. Also the added talent and depth is going to be a big ++. Quote Link to comment

Igetbored216
I'm almost positive Briscoe will be eligible. How an athlete becomes academically ineligible is a head scratcher to me, especially with so much resources at their disposal. My prediction: he will play. Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Of course he will be eligible - it's Kansas From NCAA.org In football, seven transfer student-athletes received improper benefits after they moved on campus in the summer before they were admitted, and a former graduate assistant football coach committed academic fraud by providing answers to test questions for two of these student-athletes.
