SDskerFan
This is horible news. He is an exceltent young talent, and I always want teams to be full strength when we play them so there are no excuses. Hope he can recover easily with no complications and come back strong in the future. Here's to Griffin's fast recovery Quote Link to comment
Tiger of the Corn
Dammmmit. I was counting on Griffin to tear up the Huskers this year. I had Baylor in a season long pool to beat the Huskers. Fat chance it happens now.... Quote Link to comment
NoKoolAidForME
Reported on Huskerpedia. Griffin out with ACL tear. Well I didn't mean to post it again. Sorry about the extra thread. From what Baylor has shown thus far they didnt look like they would give NU much trouble anyway. Hoever, I would scale back the enthusiam about a player getting hurt it is almost an automatic jinx. I may be in the minority but I prefer to watch us play and beat teams that are at their best. I wish Griffin a speedy recover and the best to his team. Quote Link to comment
dizzturbedNUfan
Have any of you seen Baylor this year? This was a win with or without him. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Have any of you seen Baylor this year? This was a win with or without him. Yep. Really too bad that he's hurt, but it wouldn't have mattered one bit. This was going to be a Husker win no matter what. Quote Link to comment
Bradr
Damn. You never like to hear about this kind of thing. Halloween just got a bit easier for us though. My prayers go out to Griffin and hope for a speedy and full recovery. Lord know the South needs him. As of now, it looks like the South needs all the help it can get. Quote Link to comment
sessamoid
Hello all, my first post. Long time reader first time poster. Just read at OWH that Baylor's QB Griffin is done for the season with an ACL tear. It's terrible that he had to go down, but now that trip to Waco doesn't seem so bad. From my understanding they still have an experienced QB behind him, but he's no Griffin. Their back up is experienced, experienced at sitting on the sidelines. Slow and immobile, but at least he can't throw well. Oh, and he's also injured, currently listed as "day to day". I have no idea who their third string QB is. Probably some freshman who hasn't yet held anything during a game except a clipboard. Quote Link to comment
cscott2win
Copied from the LJS.. Very rough news for Baylor on the school's official Web site: Baylor sophomore quarterback Robert Griffin III and kick returner Mikail Baker will both miss the rest of the 2009 season due to season-ending knee injuries. An MRI exam conducted Sunday afternoon revealed Griffin's right knee had an isolated tear in his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The injury occurred during the first quarter of Baylor's 68-13 victory over Northwestern State on Saturday. Quote Link to comment

holvy83
Tough break, a kid that fast that pretty much cuts and slashes up and down the field it was bound to happen. good luck to him and hope for a speedy recovery. Quote Link to comment
Igetbored216
I like how everyone was pumping Baylor up preseason saying how many weapons they had BESIDES Griffin, but now that Griffin is injured they are just Baylor again. I could care less if he comes back. After seeing what the Huskers did with Taylor, I was very confident about the October 31st game. Quote Link to comment
fro daddy
I checked the stats. He did this the remainder of the first half after suffering a torn ACL on Baylors first drive. 3 runs for 17 yards 11-14 for 198 and 3 tds Tough kid. Quote Link to comment
