zoogs
Why don't we wait for the game to slow down for Lee and for him to get more confidence and start making plays? We saw signs of that against Mizzou. Was he panicking when he lasered shots down the field and into the endzone for Niles Paul? Lee's a new starting QB too - he needs time in the system. Was Zac Taylor perfect when he first began? Right now the kid needs some help (O-line, Receivers) and some more time. Both Green and Lee have progressing to do, but I just think with Lee, you get a lot more ceiling this year if we stick with him and be patient. Everyone's expecting Ganz-like command of the game right away. Nuh uh. Quote Link to comment
ctaylor
if he stops playing scared then im fine with him... we do need a new o line BAD! Quote Link to comment
s.c. husker
How true, the O-LINE sucks. Quote Link to comment

irafreak
I'm all for giving kids time to develop but let's face it. Green can run with the ball. We have lousy recievers. So let's play to our strengths. Quote Link to comment
Husker Richard
Ill take Green trying to make plays versus Lee having a panic attack everytime he takes the snap, even if it means INT. Lee is so cautious of making the right play it handicaps the offense YES, he had ample opportunities to tuck the ball and run for some yards (hell, even throw it away) but he continued to hold it and took too many sacks. BIGREDIOWAN
If we make the switch to Green now is the time to do it with Iowa State and Baylor on the schedule next. Quote Link to comment
redout22
It is Green time. I liked that he had confidence when he was throwing the ball. Also I think he will run the ball a little more in the future. I think the reason he didn't run more was because we had to pass basically every play at the point in which he came in. Fuzzy
if he stops playing scared then im fine with him... we do need a new o line BAD! I wouldn't say a new O-line, but we need a faster O-line. They have the talent to keep the QB protected, they just need to be faster to pick up the quicker DE's. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Is *ANYONE* else bothered by the fact that he almost had like five passes picked? I say we let Lee keep getting mistakes and jitters out of his system, and become a much better player by season end. Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
I 100% agree. I have been a staunch supporter of Lee all year. It is time to put Cody Green on the field. I am sick of the tentativeness. Let Green deveop, Lee isn't the answer. I disagree the ceiling is higher with Lee. I think we can win the north with Green. Quote Link to comment

"almost picked" not picked...ill take it over lee being scared of doing anything Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Was Lee scared in the 4th quarter last week? No. We need to let Lee settle in and become a gunslinger that comes with more comfort and confidence. And FYI, the last one WAS picked. It was only a matter of time. Quote Link to comment
