Apathy
I'm going to the game and will be staying the night at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel right off of Cornhusker Hwy and was wondering if there are any good breakfast places to go to. If there are any buffet breakfasts in Lincoln that would be something looking into. I'm not looking at going to like a Village Inn, Perkins, IHop, etc because I have those where I'm from but I've never ate at a Denny's before too. Here is what I'm looking for: - Buffet Breakfast - Denny's - Our any good homemade style breakfast Quote Link to comment

Here is what I'm looking for: - Buffet Breakfast - Denny's - Our any good homemade style breakfast Howard's Pantry. Roughly 48th and Normal. It's about $6. All you can eat breakfast buffet. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit, etc. etc. Head south on 48th street . . . you'll see it on your left. Quote Link to comment
dubsker
Cooks Cafe at 66th and Cotner Blvd has a nice, homey (greasy) breakfast for around $5-$9. It's your typical small town breakfast cafe. No buffet but you will be full. Chicken fried steak and homefries are my favorite. Quote Link to comment
Axl_sued_me
I am confident that I am the go-to guy when it comes to restaurant suggestions in Omaha and Lincoln. But if the place still exists (Lincolnites, help me out), YOU NEED TO GO to Kuhl's for a good breakfast. Excellent homestyle breakfast and their OJ is delicious. And I have said this a hundred times on this board, for pre-game or post-drinking, go to Ali-Baba's for the best Gyro in the midwest. Quote Link to comment
dubsker
I'm thinking the sign is the only thing left of the Kuhl's downtown. Could be wrong though. Quote Link to comment

C N Red
Alot of great places to eat breakfast. I think there are better places than the ones listed so far. Not a buffet but awesome homemade food. Best breakfast in lincoln. Stauffer's cafe and Pie Shoppe http://www.restaurantdb.net/restaurants/view-220011.html Hi-way Diner. Maybe second best breakfast in lincoln. Not buffet http://www.lincolnrestaurantguide.com/384816 There is a Denny's in Lincoln, out by the airport. I've ate there and it was good. http://www.restaurantdb.net/restaurant/dennys-lincoln Valentino's grand buffet is great for breakfast. Once again not sure if they have it on Saturday or only on sunday. Best one at 2701 S 70th St. I would seriously go to Stauffer's!!!!! Not buffet but large portions and awesome pie, breakfast is perfect too, because they will have alot of pie still left. They will have like 20 different kinds of pies to pick from and early they will hopefully not be out of the one you want. Quote Link to comment

That Denny's by the airport closed a long time ago, like two or three years ago. It's been some other business for at least a year. I wouldn't send anyone to Hi-Way Diner, either. It's a greasy spoon. Maybe it's changed in the dozen years since I went there last, but it wasn't that good back then. Quote Link to comment

I had a bad experience once. Quote Link to comment
hskerprid
Isn't there a Denny's right next to the stadium? There was when I lived in Lincoln. Quote Link to comment
