Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
You mean THIS CLASS? I'm not going to take the time and see how many of them were four-stars. But it looks like there's quite a few guys on that list still with the team and contributing quite a bit. And this should probably be in the recruiting forum. Quote Link to comment
huskers1
I actually think that the 07' class is callys best and there are a ton of very big contributors out of that class. Prince (1st team all big 12, shut down corner) Asante (1st team all big 12, 3 year starter) Crick (outstanding0 Hagg (very important part to our D) Helu (don't need to say anything) Marcel (Young yet and has contributed a ton) Adi (huge weapon despite B12CG) Murillo (started two years coming from juco) Niles (had a bigger year this year, was hurt by not redshirting) Currenski (will contribute by the time hes over) Blue and Mendoza could end up being big contributors in one way or the other before their time is up as well. I am I
"that other coach" told us every year that he had the players, he just couldn't bring Jack Shiit out of them. Quote Link to comment
redout22
Wow that class was pretty stacked. If only Prince redshirted. Quote Link to comment
Danimal
Wow that class was pretty stacked. If only Prince redshirted. BC loved to burn shirts. We should have two more seasons of Prince and Niles. Niles didn't do jack as a frosh and gained no experience, practically speaking he's just a soph now. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Except if you recall, a shirt was planned for Niles but he was stubborn and thought he was tough sh#! because of all his shiny recruiting stars. And if Prince didn't do much as a freshman, what did Dennard do, really? There's a guy we'll be wishing is a soph. next year. Thanks for putting him on occasional return teams, Bo. I do wish these guys had redshirted, but it's hard to really blame it on BC. You like to hold on to players and develop them to their full potential but sometimes they just really want to play. JTrain
I think the OP was probably thinking of the '05 class. Quote Link to comment

Cann't compare the two. The previous staff did squat for coaching and player development. Quote Link to comment

DJR313
2007 class was very stout and would have been even better had Travis Lewis hung on. Only about 3-4 kids out of 28 or so that didn't contribute at all. That's pretty good. Quote Link to comment

I think you're right. no not the 05 class, the 07 we had alot of highly rated recruits that commited, but like for ex 10 4* players OL Javario Burkes - no longer with the team (injuries?) RB Q Castille - kicked off DT Kevin Dixon - what happened to him? LB Blake Lawrence - injuries, personal problems? DL Joseph Townsend - what happened to him? DE Willian Yancy - what happened to him? all of those guys were 4* the rest were Niles Paul zac lee Armando Murillo Larry Asante what happened to these guys: DT shukree barfield LB austin stafford DL demetrious davis DB shawn sullivan Quote Link to comment

Javorio started as a true freshman. Just had medical problems. Q broke out late last year and was expected to be half the reason our offense was gonna have success this year, even though we were breaking in a new QB. K Dixon got in to legal trouble, transferred to Troy St, and had a pretty solid season. I'm betting he would've done pretty good if he would not have been kicked off the team last year. Townsend never made it here so we'll never know with him. Will Yancy is the only 4 star that probably would have never seen the field but in his defense, I think he may have had injury problems. Barfield didn't get a lot of pt but he was a pretty good DT. He rippid it up his last game for us with 2 sacks against the Buffs. Austin Stafford had a lot of off the field problems. We'll never know how good he could've been. Shawn Sullivan was not good. I have know clue what happened to Demetrious Davis either. Looking back, this class was solid! Curenski, Prince, Jaivorio, Marcel, Barfield, Asante, T Moore, Murillo, Hagg, Lee, Kunalic, Lawerence, Helu, Castille, Ryan Hill, Witt, Blue, Crick, Paul, and Latravis who could be a beast if given a chance. Solid!! Quote Link to comment
