GSG
K Alex Henery, Sr., Nebraska (zero stars): This former walk-on from Omaha, Neb., hit 18-of-19 field goal attempts inside 50 yards in 2009. For his career, Henery has hit 44-of-46 inside 50 yards. On top of that, Henery is a deadly punter who booted 13 punts of 50-plus yards and pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 30 times. The Maudfather
Glad to see Henerey get some recognition. I will never forget the Colorado game when he booted the 57 yarder....my voice still hurts from that game! Quote Link to comment
NUance
Henery will be playing Sundays in a couple of years. He'll be one of the few two-stars in that league. As for the others on the All (two-)Star team, I noticed this: FS Blake Gideon, Jr., Texas (two stars): He is the only two-star the whorns have taken in the last three recruiting classes. And they hit a home run. Wouldn't ya know it. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
That's probably a testament to how poor the recruiting sites are. It's not a coincidence the only 2 star player Texas takes was worth taking. They don't read stars... Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
It's also a testament to how f'd up the individual awards in college football are. To not even be a finalist for either the Groza or the Guy award is an absolute sin. Granted, he'll probably win both next year, but two years in a row is what shoulda happened. Quote Link to comment

I had a perfect view, and you could see the crowd movement was hectic, huging, high fiving, jumping up and down. A picture i will never be able to erase from my memory. Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
We've had some great kickers over the years. Darrin Erstad, IMHO, was the MVP of the 95 Orange Bowl. Sam Koch is still kicking for the Baltimore Ravens. Alex Henery, TK (Tiny Kicker) may be the best ever kicker for Huskers. T_O_B Quote Link to comment
