nebraskared
I think I'm definitely on board with the refs trying to screw us. Pathetic! All they have to do is stop giving them cause to throw a flag. The kids know the rules, don't retaliate, don't remove your lid. After that kind of stupidity, the refs are going to be looking for any excuse to throw their flags. Quote Link to comment
maskershake
It's kinda sad about Cody, with all his stars he got when he was in high school. It just seems like he's not cut for the college game, at least not at qb Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
I think maybe it is time for T.O. to step down as AD, if he can't see that Watson is this terrible and does not fire him in mid game than maybe the game has passed him by. I mean seriously what kind of a joke can't perfomr with his third string qb the same way as with the starter. Anyone who does not want wats fired is a bad fan and does not know anything about football. BTW that is excatly how crazy the wats bashers sound Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
This game is a total clusterf#@k in all aspects except the D... for now. A win would be a miracle. Bless Cody Green's heart, but the dude just doesn't perform well. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
I don't expect Martinez to come back anytime soon from that injury. Why we don't hand off to our RBs and have him throw it is beyond me, I will never understand it. Absolutely awful decision by Watson or whoever the hell. We will need a miracle to win this, our D can't hold them forever. Green has damn near fumbled already and those side screens will lead to a pick 6 sooner or later. just stop already. that injury has nothing to do with watson Yeah nothing does does it? Who calls the plays? Who should sack up and tell Martinez not to run it if he's not fully healthy? Watson is responsible for nothing I guess huh? Made the same mistake he made against Missouri with a 24 point lead... let our most valuable offensive player run and run and run till he gets hurt. HATERS HATIN' Nice comeback, really proved your point. Owned. Please. Our offensive lineman got pushed back and stepped on his ankle. This has nothing to do with whether or not he was going to run the ball or not. It's a freak injury. I really don't give a sh#t if you hate Watson, but putting this on your WHY I HATE WATSON resume is ridiculous. Which is what makes you a hater that's hatin. Is Watson your dad or do you just think he's hot? Why the hell are you getting all hard over him and defending him on everything? Tell me what exactly would be his fault since this isn't. Let's see... what 8 penalties? Running zone read with Martinez when he can't run and WE HAVE GOOD RUNNING BACKS. He could have won this game passing alone. Now we have to rely on Green = sh#t heap of trouble. Guess what, I hate to break it to you, but it's somebody's fault the way our offense is playing and the play calling with Martinez. He should not have been running, they used him like 5 or 6 times in a row on run plays instead of using Burkhead or Helu. sh#t I'd rather have Robinson carry it than Martinez. But hey you're probably right, I'm sure Green will open up with a 3 TD performance in the second half. This IS a good point. Why not keep using martinez' running ability as a decoy? papersun87
@Matt_Schick: Went back at did some lip-reading on the sideline exchange. Official f-bomb count: Bo: 4. Martinez: 1. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
At this point, going to the Big 12 Championship might not be such a good thing. Do you really want to play OSU or Oklahoma without a healthy Martinez? Yeah, because that would mean we are Big 12 North Champs, and playing in the Championship with a chance to go to a BCS Bowl. If you even think you wouldn't want to be in that position, you are a terrible fan. Go cheer for Mizzou. Well, getting drilled in the Big 12 Championship wouldn't be pretty, because if you think we actually stand a chance against either of those teams without Martinez healthy, then you are delusional. OSU is dangerous Quote Link to comment
FLU
I think the problem was that Martinez told the reporters that he was going to try and return to the game. Bo got pissed and told him not to talk to them; obviously he planned on keeping him out. Quote Link to comment

whateveritis1224
Alright it's probably already been discussed but can someone tell me why the refs moved the ball back 30 yards on that double personal foul penalty by Cotton? Since it looked like both of them were post play shouldn't A&M only been able to accept one penalty? And jeez everyone is looking towards the bad on Green immediately and the second he does anything bad jump all over his back. Outside of his last throw (the int) I couldn't see any difference between him playing and Martinez this game. He had two huge throws to get us out of the hole we put ourselves into on 3rd and 15 (or more) and 2nd and 20. If there should be any blame this game, it should be all on the O-Line. They haven't been playing well at all. Also what's up with the HUGE difference in penalties and penalty yards between the two teams? At half Nebraska has 8 penalties for 88 yards while A&M only has 1 for 5 yards. I know we've been undisciplined tonight, but they've seriously only penalized them 1 time? Quote Link to comment
nebraskared
At this point, going to the Big 12 Championship might not be such a good thing. Do you really want to play OSU or Oklahoma without a healthy Martinez? that means we would have to lose to Colorado.......I would rather have Cody Green as a starter than lose to Colorado JUST SAYING Well, the way the offense is playing, it wouldn't surprise me one bit for Colorado to win next week. for pity's sake, get your head out of your back pocket. we could play L'il Red at QB and beat Colorado at home. You cannot compare Colorado to A & M, regardless of who is the QB. Quote Link to comment
Malth
It's his offense. He's responsible not only for strategy/playcalling, but for execution. He's also the QB's coach, so he's responsible for developing that 3rd string QB. I'm not saying that Watson needs to be fired over halftime or anything, but come on, the offense has looked terrible since Martinez looked the game, and that's Watson's responsibility. Watson has developed some good QB's during his time here. The problem is that Green just simply doesn't have it. He's a square peg being pounded into a round hole. Quote Link to comment
tums20
on a positive note we are still tied Quote Link to comment

Perhaps you can tell us what the acceptable fan is... Someone who believes in, and stands behind, their team, for one. I support my team 100%, but I am also realistic. Quote Link to comment
I am I
watson needs to maximize the talent he has out there now. Martin-ez is hurt. HAND THE BALL TO ROY AND REX WITH 2 TEs and a FB. we can own the LOS, and make hay w the play action....whatever watson is calling...ITS NOT WORKING our D is freaking unbelievable. we need a farts breeze of O, and we win the game.
