Overland Park Husker
And Henery gets screwed yet again. Shame this guy doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh
Surprised Niles got KR/PR over Broyles. And really surprised about Henry. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Andrew McGee edged out Dennard by the slimmest of margins. Sucks for Fonzie, but it was very, very close statistically. Quote Link to comment
SnowBigRed
Maybe I'm biased, but I sure thought Gomes had a 2nd team year. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
And Henery gets screwed yet again. Shame this guy doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Dan Bailey is pretty legit also. I am sure if Henery gets a fat pro contract that will ease the pain of not making first team. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
I'm not trying to be a homer, but can anyone explain what Dan Bailey (OSU Kicker) has done? I saw above that he is the all time leading scorer at OSU. Is that it? I don't know the specifics of each kick, but he's missed 4 field goals this year. Bailey Career Stats Congrats to Lavonte David. Had anyone known how good he was at the start of the season(he got some pub), he'd be an all american. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Henery gets snubbed again. Surprise surprise. Unreal, but not surprising. I'm sick of hearing "Bailey is OSU's all time leading scorer" blah blah blah With Henery's next point, he'll be NU's all time leading scorer, and the bar is much higher at NU than it is at OSU. I don't think you caught my sarcasm. I'm not shocked at all that it happened. Quote Link to comment

If he had Henery's accuracy, he'd be a lot farther ahead! Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
You can look at those lists year after year, and the majority of the time awards are given just based off of preseason hype. But somehow, with the hype AND the production, our own Alex Henery gets lost in that trend. Quote Link to comment
husker_hurdler
You can look at those lists year after year, and the majority of the time awards are given just based off of preseason hype. Hype is the name of the game. Especially for positions that don't have a lot of "stats" (OL, DL, DBs). What is the point of Honorable Mention? Lets jsut call it the "Other Starters non named to all conference team" Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
What is the point of Honorable Mention? Lets jsut call it the "Other Starters non named to all conference team" About the same as "Co-Champions" Quote Link to comment
kansas husker
I'm alot more surprised by him not being named a Groza finalist. Quote Link to comment
aholla3
5 players on the All Big 12 Defensive 1st team. Wow. I know all of them deserve it, and Dennard might deserve to be on it as well, but its such a good feeling knowing every time you step out on the field, your defense is going to keep you in the game no matter what. 3 of the 5 are seniors, and we might lose Crick, but I still think we'll be loaded on defense again next year.
