corncraze
The university hardly ever uses our classic "N - Husker" logo anymore and I don't understand why. Instead we use the block N anymore I always liked the N - Husker combo better than just the block N, but it appears that they usually lean to using the block N. Why? Quote Link to comment
lilred
They ditched that logo a while ago. They wanted to keep up with the times I guess (style-wise). Quote Link to comment

kchusker_chris
^ yeah, we should go back to the old uniforms/helmets too... Quote Link to comment
carlfense
The university wanted to harmonize the logos across sports and schools. The big push to use only a couple logos rather than the 14+ we used to use began about 3 years ago. My buddy who does graphic design for Nebraska was heavily involved. Sounded like quite a project. Street Novelist
I agree with you. The old logo was more intimidating, for lack of a better word. The new logo looks computer generated. I had this old Husker pullover jacket that I bought in Fremont back in the mid 90's. I think it was made by Logo Athletic. Anybody remember that brand? It was pretty much all black, except for the back which had a big N with the word Huskers written in black. I can't tell you all the compliments I got when I wore it. You could see it a mile away. MinnwiscowaSker
As much as I liked the old cursive Huskers, it does start to look like an old Charlotte Hornets Apex jacket after a while. I think the solid N says more with less. Quote Link to comment
