B1G chooses Indy for championship

What?! No more Dallas!?

What an outrage.

Before you get too excited...

Miles (from Google Maps):

Lincoln to Dallas: 640 Miles

Lincoln to Indy: 641 Miles

Austin to Dallas: 199 Miles

Columbus to Indy: 176 Miles

Just saying....

Yeah, but the Conference headquarters and 4 of the conference schools aren't in Indiana.

So according to that article then after a four year run in Indy it will be a four year run in Chi-town, right?

"recommendation from university administrators for the cities of Chicago, Hoffman Estates and Indianapolis to rotate as the host sites for the Big Ten Football Championship Games and Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments for a four-year period beginning with the 2012-13 academic year."

Big difference though, even though mileage is comparable. With the BiG, Indy & Chicago are roughly in the middle of the conference map. East & West meet in the middle, you couldn't say that about the Texas 12.

Well, they weren't going to have it in F'ing Des Moines-that this should have been a given. Besides, Columbus is a non issue for the next few years anyhow, and it might be longer than that.

I don't understand this response...
