Uncle Milty

Recommended Posts

Milt Tenopir was on Huskers Illustrated radio on Friday talking offensive line. Here are some of the highlights:

Milt likes the o-line this year.

He talked highly of the way that Barney and Tim Beck worked together over the summer to set the offense.

Milt believes that simplifying the offense will be big dividends this season, he even used the word 'dominant' several times.

He likes Yoshi and Marcel Jones alot.

He also said that Jake Long was working with the 1's and 2's, but I'm thinking that was due to injuries.

He said that the offense will do less straight drop back passing, more two back backfields and less plays out of the shotgun.

As much as I love and admire Milt, he was also very encouraging about the line play during the Callahan era.

Ouch!!

To be fair, the OL play under Cally was better than it has been under Pelini. Hopefully that changes this year.

OL is what is specialty was as a coach. Not a bad coach, just a bad fit for college football.
