The Maudfather
UNLV has over 100 yds on the ground right now and they're running the zone read with a lot of success. Granted, it's only the first week, but you gotta love this if you're a husker fan! Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
Yeah UNLV is finding holes to run through all over the place. That defense looks tired from keeping up good sign for us hopefully. Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
Wisconsin looks slow as hell on D. If any Husker finds some green, he'll take it to the house against these slow white guys. Wow. I had Madison marked as an 'L' on the schedule, but no longer... It'll still be very tough, but Nebraska has a much better shot than I originally thought. Quote Link to comment
95huskers
Ummmm #16 just scooted..... Quote Link to comment
brasky
Russel Wilson is fast... Quote Link to comment

Hoosker
They haven't even played 30 mins of football yet. Hold the phone people. We haven't even played either. Wisky will be plenty tough. 1 Quote Link to comment
bleedNUred
Wilson looked QUICK on that run, not exactly FAST. FAST is like Martinez when healthy Quote Link to comment
nhuskers5
They have very little speed on the edge. Outside zone read should kill with Martinez Quote Link to comment

I don't think anyone's getting out of hand It's the only thing we have to go on, so we're going on it. Quote Link to comment

Wisky will be plenty tough. Correct, BUT it only takes about 5 seconds to see speed. And when you have 20 different 5-second increment in which you see Wisconsin getting BURNED by UNLV, you can go ahead and start talking about it. No one has said NU will blow them out. Just observing that Wiscy is not showing any speed on the edge right now. Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
People who form one game opinions about a team drive me nuts. Seriously. It was like last fall when Taylor was running all swiss cheese through the little sisters of the poor defenses that he gashed. Let's see how much some of these opinions change in a month. My bet is a lot. Quote Link to comment

My bet is a lot. I don't know about anyone else, but in no way am I saying after watching one half we can assume Wisconsin will be a .500 team. They're up 37-3 at half and their offense looks unstoppable. However, it is undeniable that they are lacking speed on the edge of the defense. If you wanted one thing in an opposing defense, a lack of speed would be pretty high on the wish list for NU. I find that exciting. Quote Link to comment
Roark
I doubt that Nebraska will run as much zone read this year... And I HIGHLY doubt they'll use the pistol. Quote Link to comment
