HuskerBill85
Howcome this guy isn't a starter? He was solid last year. Quote Link to comment
da skers
First I heard he wasn't 100% healthy and later I've heard it has to do with having the "right attitude." I know the first was correct don't know where he's at health wise now. And I don't know about the validity of the second statement. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I really would like "attitude" to be WAY at the bottom of the reasons we aren't playing a guy. If he's got the ability then he needs to be out there. If he's a team cancer that's different. But "attitude" is a very subjective term. 1 Quote Link to comment
HeyBurke
The coaches must think that Daimion Stafford is a better player than Osborne. I would imagine that's why he isn't starting. 1 Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Didn't he start the first game and then Stafford took over? Who started at safety the first game? Quote Link to comment

I would imagine that's why he isn't starting. Put him at Cassidy's spot on the other side. He is a playmaker, with that tandem of safetys I am pretty sure receivers will have second thoughts about catching the ball over the middle. Cassidy hasn't showed me anything that makes me think he is a necessity on the field. Quote Link to comment
HuskerBill85
Osborne or Stafford couldn't play Cassidy's position? Quote Link to comment
HeyBurke
Osborne or Stafford couldn't play Cassidy's position? I'm not entirely sure they could. Every player in Bo and Carl's defense has a unique responsibility and Osborne/Stafford might not know how to do Cassidy's role. Quote Link to comment

He made some good plays last week, though. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
Cassidy reminds me of Pat Ricketts. Quote Link to comment

I remember last year they were talking about how every single role in the defensive backfield (which was like 6 guys) was interchangeable. This. And even Bo and Carl have said the safeties are very interchangable. Just think when an opposing offense shifts/motions and flips the strength of their formation. You don't see NU's safeties running and trading spots. They switch responsibilities. A basic defensive defensive occurance. And for the thread, I have heard the attitude card is a major player in his PT. Didn't like the demotion in favor of Stafford and hasn't responded well since. Obviously this guy needs to sit down and chat with Marcel Jones and Shirles. Quote Link to comment
