Trendon
I hope the crowd was booing Bo and Tim Beck, not Taylor. It's obvious they wanted Taylor to throw downfield, they hurried up to the line and called a vertical route. Of course it was going to get picked off, barring a perfect throw. And they did it after allowing 20 seconds to run off the clock when they had two timeouts. It's like Bo and Tim learned nothing from last week. Nothing. Terrible coaching. Taylor can't throw the football; this isn't opinion, just some "guy on the forums", or whatever excuse there might be. Great kid? Fine. Working hard and trying? Sure, I know. Throw the football? LOLWUT NO. Yet, shotgun formation every play. You know what normal football teams do when they have a QB that can't throw but have dynamic talents at WR and HB? They line up in a traditional formation, under center, and hope they can get the ball to those guys in better situations. They don't PURPOSELY feature the one weak spot of the offense on 80% of the plays. Taylor was 10/12 tonight before that last interception, which is ENTIRELY on the coaching staff. All week, all anyone heard at Nebraska was that Taylor makes bad decisions and doesn't go through his reads. Did you not see INSTANT improvement in that regard tonight from Martinez? What the heck do you want from him? He cannot throw the football. I don't have any negative to say about him aside from that. When you put him in a position where it is obvious there is going to be a pass, his lack of talent at physically throwing the football is a major detriment. It would be the equivalent of having a Tommie Frazier who couldn't run. So, when Pelini/Beck repeatedly line up in formations that are pass-centric, you put an athlete in a position where his worst talent becomes the thing he needs the most. And that is a horrible call; we could be talking about something as benign as a hot dog stand. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Seriously? We stopped him and then let him push us into the endzone? Quote Link to comment
roundegotrip
Playing this team's offense was supposed to be a confidence builder for our defense. Not the other way around. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
You guys are literally the stupidest fan base in college football right now. 2 10 win seasons in a row. And now a season where the players aren't responding to the coaching, and it's his fault? Say what you want about Bo, blah blah blah he doesn't know what he's doing. bullsh#t. What he has done has worked the past 4 seasons. And it's worked damn well. Bo knows defense. The players are not playing well. Missed tackles. Blown contain. That's not coaching. That's players making stupid errors. And you think that's Bo's fault!? You can tell they know what they're doing wrong; but they do it anyways. Bo's seat is ice cold. Quit being ridiculous drama queens. God you all are so annoying some times. Dude, don't make is so personal. Even if you are attacking the fan base as a whole and not individuals, you need to keep your self in check. Comments like calling us STUPID are uncalled for. Others see it differently than you; this is a message board where we all voice our opinions on our team, good or bad, without attacking each other for there observations and personal analysis. Yes! Let's protect each other, but attack the coaches and the college athletes! Vicious double standard. The majority of the fan base is bashing Bo. I'm gonna bash the majority of the fan base. Sucks. Include yourself in that list then... Quote Link to comment
redout22
Alright 100% serious now when I say this.. Bench everyone on defense Quote Link to comment
bdubb75
At the beginning of the season the Big10 bloggers for ESPN said NU could be 10-2 or 7-5, best case/worst case. Well folks, I'm sorry to say this but we're going to end up 7-5 unless something MAJOR happens. Taylor is not going to take us to the next level and our D is getting run over and around. We might be lucky to win 7.... Quote Link to comment
