Chaddyboxer
FU#$IN LOVE IT!!!! The heart and soul of this team is Rex and Martinez distributed!!! BOOOOOM! Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
For beating a top 13 defense after being down by 21 This is an important point. Our defense put us in a huge hole. I didn't think the offense was playing that bad but really thought there was not going to be a way to come back on a good defense like this...these are the types of defenses that TMart can't just rip off long runs to get us back quickly. But we made some other good plays and I still don't know how Rex kept running it on them especially getting those late first downs when OSU knew we were just going to run. Quote Link to comment

I'm a retroactive? virgin and I still don't get it. But..Then..I don't really get the Bruce Springsteen (BOSS) reference, either. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
I love how Martinez wins one game and all of the sudden he is a god again... He managed half a game well against a good defense which is a giant step and I couldn't be more happy for him. But calm down, seriously. I don't think he was ever really "bad" to begin with. I just think they kept sticking him into offensive schemes that were not his area, whereas tonight he proved he's a very capable option QB. BOOOM!! Good solid statement. Anyone else state their argumentive case!? Quote Link to comment

They may be a "top 13" Defense, but they looked bad..or mediocre..Especially the 2nd half. How much of that was because of our Offense? Just when I was starting to think we need fresh coaches on the O-Line, they started appearing to perform..Anyone actually at the game able to confirm? Quote Link to comment

Maybe the one that outweighed me when I was 17, but after she got out of her VW and I saw her body for the 1st time, I considered it a Public Service. Quote Link to comment

Epoc....with your productive genious in creating some of the most epic NEB pregame vids...hands down!!! I really dig your statement that Martinez had a decent game and you couldn't be more happy for him. But aren't you happy for not only the heart of our team IMO, Burkhead, but be happy for the whole team that they just pulled off NU history against the number 15 defense in the nation.YEAHHH BUDDY!!! C'MON be happy man!! I know people have been messing with your vids that you have had a HUGE hand in, but the hardcore NEB huskerboard followers know that you are the man when it comes to the production/creation of epic NEB pregame vids. Celebrate this...we may not see this again for a looong time. GBR!!!!! Quote Link to comment
3rd and long
His biggest knock has been his lack of production against a good defense. Well, Ohio State does have a very good defense. The kid is getting better every week. Now if our defense can just find it's mojo... I don't think he was getting better every week, but he got way better tonight. Simple things like not panicing and buying a little extra time in the pocket, and most importantly, dumping it off to Rex. I'm happy for him bacause it really looked like he worked on the things that caused so many of the problems. He really did catch a lot of flak this week (I've been one of those giving it) and I'm happy for him (and eating my share of the crow). If he continues to play that way, it makes our offense so much more dangerous. Now he's just got to figure out when to slide or if he's going to take on the tackler, he'll get killed if he just stops. Quote Link to comment

This was the biggest comeback in the history of NU cfb, genius. Against a "very" good defense too. If you can't hack getting excited about that you must be six feet under. Yeah, I'm aware of the importance of the comeback, thanks for the condescending comments though. I didn't say I wasn't excited or proud/happy for Taylor. All I said it was a big step, but let's not crown him world MVP just yet please. Because when he struggles again soon you guys will be calling for his head again. I think Taylor can lead this team to great wins, but they have to let him manage what is within his means, which is exactly what happened tonight. He made the right decisions at the important times, and it was the difference between a win and a loss. Honestly EPOC....you provide a very objective observation. I like it. Martinez did come back even when adversity and hardship stared him in the face. Honestly...I totally agree with your statement...but I have been drinking heavily and I am very glad Martinez played a solid game against a decent defense!! GBR!!!! Quote Link to comment

It'sNotAFakeID
He's not the next coming of Christ because of his second half performance. But for all those constantly hating on him, I hope you understand where all of us who were "sunshine pumping" were coming from. I'm happy for him, but he could be told more how he needs to improved...seems that gets to him. Quote Link to comment
