Coaching Hot Seat 2011

why is that Gene Chizik couldn't make Iowa State a NC, but he can at Auburn? How about Nick Satan at MSU- then LSU. How, at Auburn, did they know that Chizek was such a good hire?

$, $, $, $... $. While I'm completely serious about the sec paying players, Chizik fell bass ackwards into the exact right place at the lucky time (the other auburn coaches going undefeated have all seemed to have sanctions involved that kept them from national titles). Saban was actually improving MSU.

Speaking of coaching changes, how stupid is Arizona picking up DickRod? Leach is out there, they already run the effin air raid. Perfect match.

I'm not sure if Leach's law suit has finished up yet. No one is going to hire him while thats on going. I can see RichRod actually working out in Arizona. His style of offense will work perfectly with the Pac 12, and there is no culture to clash with in Tucson, the only Original Pac team to never go to the Rose Bowl,

Here's the list from a week ago, showing the casualties:

1. Steve Fairchild, Colorado State (probably get fired after their last game, which is this Saturday.)

2. Turner Gill, Kansas

3. Paul Wulff, Washington St

4. Rick Neuheisel, UCLA

5. Dennis Erickson, Arizona State

6. Ron Zook, Illinois

7. Neil Callaway, UAB

8. Frank Spaziani, Boston College (he beat Miami last week. maybe saved his job.)

9. Mike Sherman, Texas A&M (probably won't get canned this year b/c aTm moving to SEC.)

10. Greg McMackin, Hawaii (hanging by fingernails as the point shaving thing plays out.)

Rick Neuheisel must do one hell of a good job interview. He just keeps landing HC job after job after job.

Dooley and Joker Phillips should both be added to that list. That tennessee-kentucky matchup last week was an embarrassment to the Southeastern conference. Jim Treseel to Akron?
