its freaky hearing the announcers talk about us in this game... it was like the last time we were the elite of the elite.

"nebraska fans havent had to worry about anything ever... notre dame is down, usc is down, alabama is down... all of these elite programs have suffered some sort of blip. not nebraska, its remarkable."

Ugh! its as if we were jinxed or something.

Being barley bowl eligible due to having to count a win over a FCS team to give us a 7-6 record (7-7 after this loss) is being an elite program? I would say that you were watching the point in the programs history where it fell off of the cliff. All of Tom's recruits were gone and it was Franks first team that were exclusively his recruits.

Yeah Shreveport is poop. I was at the game also. The Ole Miss fans I was around were good until the end of the game. Very rude while we were walking to the car though. Many of them shouting profanaties and taunting us.

Yes--nothing like going with your in-laws and family, only to have drunk 18 yo Ole Miss students get in your face, threaten you, and call you 'Big XII *******' (think kitty cats...) when the game was over.

I remember my father-in-law and I looking at each other like "are we going to have to fight our way to the car?"
