NUance
Slauson played season with bad shoulder injurieswww.cbssports.com Posted on: February 16, 2012 9:48 pm <snip> Jets guard Matt Slauson started every game this year despite suffering a torn labrum, rotator cuff and bicep in his left shoulder. Obviously, Slauson played the season in a cringe-worthy amount of pain after injuring his shoulder in December 2010, and after the season, he underwent surgery on his arm that will keep him out for five to six months. “I knew something was wrong, but I was like, 'OK, I'll keep on playing as long as I can play,' and I was able to get through it all," Slauson told the paper. "I felt like I had a fairly successful year personally with it. So I'm really excited about next year without having pain." LINK A torn labrum, rotator cuff and bicep. That's pretty incredible. I don't think I could put my shirt on with those injuries. Quote Link to comment
IvabigN
it didn't seem to stop him from throwing crap in the air at another ex-Husker Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
What did he throw in the air?? Quote Link to comment
GSG
What did he throw in the air?? He was talking smack about Suh after the "stomping" incident Quote Link to comment
rawhide
He used a euphemism $.02 GBR but he did talk some smack about Suh which could result in further muscle damage accidentally Quote Link to comment
Blaze1up
He not like Suh Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
I heard after Slauson made the comments, Suh payed him a visit and told him to take it all back. I guess Suh twisted his arm until he confessed he made the whole thing up. Quote Link to comment
huskered17
I know how bad a torn rotator cuff is to have to work with, but add in the rest of the injuries he played with, that's one tough dude. I know Cortisone shots don't help much, at least it didn't for me. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
Pro sports = pain killers. I don't know the situation here, so I am not saying this is what they are doing but in general they just shoot them up. Jason Peter probably could tell you some stories.... http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7243606/nfl-players-tony-romo-ronde-barber-rely-new-painkiller-toradol Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Pain killers, cortisone shots....but keep in mind, cortisone shots can be very dangerous to joint capsules. Typically, 3 cortisone shots are administered a year to the same joint, over that amount and your asking for a tendon/ligament complex to rupture. Quote Link to comment
