95huskers
We need to convert when we have the chance. And we have had our chances. yes, we have had plenty of opportunities to be leading this game right now. Quote Link to comment
95huskers
i think it is going to take a couple weeks to work out all the kinks and get the lineup and positions set up for what the coaches want. remember they are still feeling things out Quote Link to comment
95huskers
and thats a wrap.... i think the skers got some things from this that they can take back and work on 7-4 Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
5-4 ZAGS Well, I told a friend that we'd be swept this weekend and that I'd be pleasantly surprised with going 1-2. Having said that, this game is beyond frustrating. We've had WAAAAAY to many chances to win this. Plenty of chances to bury them...... 7-4 lead on wild throw SHHHHHHHHHHHHIT What do you know, being an ex-major leaguer doesn't magically make the team you're coaching better. Unfortunately, that's all Erstad had to lean on. Totally. I mean, they've been practicing for almost a whole month now, they should have been ready to go undefeated and bring home Nebraska's first ever national championship. Fire him now, they obviously can't win a game. It's too bad the season is only 4 hours long and consists of only one game. If only they played for a few months and had 50 some games so that one loss wouldn't matter and they would have time to progress and figure out which guys fit where and who could rise up when the team needed them.... oh well. There's always next year. Quote Link to comment

huskerswrkhavoc
I'm not giving up on the excitement. Players are in new positions and kelly is a freshman. so things happen in games. these are good learning experiences. a man didnt become wise by doing all the right things all the time I'm not giving up yet, because the Big Ten is just that bad, but I've been against the Erstad hiring from day one. I hope he proves to be a better coach than I think he will. Don't tell Michigan St and Minnesota how bad the Big Ten is supposed to be.....both had solid wins today. Quote Link to comment

Still the conference as a whole is REALLY bad. Quote Link to comment

You apparently think differently. That's fine, whatever. I hope I'm wrong. For the record, we made numerous fundamental mistakes, mistakes the other team didn't make. You wanna give them a pass for that be my guest, I'll choose to see if this becomes a habit. I didn't expect much from this series, as I said earlier I expect us to get swept and will be pleasantly surprised if we win one, but last night's performance (especially defensively) was actually worse than I expected. Maybe I'm willing to give him a pass just because he inherited a team that sucked to begin with? Quote Link to comment

How big a pass does he get? Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
There is a ton of DBHOF potential in a couple of these posts. One game. Yep definately have seen enough to write off a season or a coach Quote Link to comment
