Popular Post knapplc
@HuskerExtraBR #Huskers wide receivers coach Rich Fisher says sophomore Jamal Turner has had "his best of week" of practice in his time at NU. @JonNyatawa The WRs keep stats during the game-like segments of preseason camp. Fr Jordan Westerkamp hasn't dropped a pass #Huskers @HuskerExtraBC Imani Cross working overtime, pushing to play right away @swmckewonOWH So it appears DE Avery Moss, DT Aaron Curry, RB Imani Cross & FB Andy Janovich are the best freshman candidates to burn redshirts. @swmckewonOWH I'd throw Charles Jackson in there, too, but Bo Pelini may not see Jackson as a classic freshman, I don't know. @swmckewonOWH Cross works late after practice every night. Often the last guy to leave the field. RB coach Ron Brown calls the kid "hungry." #huskers @HuskerExtraBC One name to not dismiss in #Husker corner battles is Josh Mitchell. "Active," Terry Joseph said. "He really, really flies around." @HuskerExtraBC "He uses his great asset -- his speed," Joseph said of the 5-11, 155-pound Mitchell. "He's a lot more locked in this fall camp." @HuskerExtraBC "They're both physical specimens," Kaz said of Valentine & Curry. "Not only are thy powerful guys but they can stay small in tight places. " @HuskerExtraBC "...They continue to stay moving. You just don't see their feet ever stopping. They're active guys and that's what you need in the middle." @HuskerExtraBC Kaz, of course, is Rick Kaczenski. We're not that tight yet for me to call him that but you do what you have to in Twitter speak. (I thought this was funny) @HuskerExtraBC "It's not what's best for Nebraska. It's what's best for both parties. It's obviously a mutual agreement," Kaz said about playing true frosh @HuskerExtraBC "But if ... we feel like he's ready and he feels like he's ready, we're going to make that decision to put him on the field," Kaczenski said @HuskerExtraBC Is Husker D-line giving up the two gap? "To be honest with you, it is what I come from & that's what Nebraska is," Kaz said. "We're two gap" @HuskerExtraBC Versatile new #Husker addition Alonzo Moore is working at wide receiver, by the way. "He was all for it," Pelini said. @HuskerExtraBC Pelini asked what true freshmen would play if game were today? “Avery Moss, Aaron Curry and Imani Cross were named. #Huskers @HuskerExtraSip #Huskers nugget: No decision on whether true frosh RB Imani Cross will play this year -- and no rush to make a decision, Ron Brown says. @HuskerExtraSip No doubt Imani Cross (6-1, 225) looks physically ready. Looks physically ready for NFL. Still doing drills at least 30 mins after practice. @HuskerExtraSip #Huskers nugget: Mike Marrow (6-2, 250) is capable of playing running back, Ron Brown says, but is "primarily a fullback." 16 Quote Link to comment

maskershake
Not far away, getting excited! I'm interested to see a 155 lb guy trying to make a one on one tackle with a big back. Hope the gang gets there quick! Quote Link to comment

mnhusker
Thanks for the post this may be the best info that I've seen in a while. Glad to hear that we have some talent that is stepping up. I'd love to see Imani on the field but if we do lets not burn the shirt for just a few plays. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
On Valentine and Curry playing... I think you play one and not both. Got to keep at least one RS, but I find it encouraging the guys are ready to play. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
Love hearing about Jamal Turner playing well. The kid is a play maker. Bell, Turner, Enunwa... we really do have the best WR group in the Big 10. Quote Link to comment

Offense has so much talent at RB and WR got me excited. Just need some more depth to the line. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
Taylors throwing motion has really regressed as you can see from this still photo, his mechanics are all out of wack. Some may argue that he is going to run or is "catching the ball" but he is really trying to throw it. He took his advice to not dip his back shoulder a little to far and now is dipping his front shoulder to much. 8-5 if were lucky. 9 Quote Link to comment

Osborne might see a little playing time in there. I'd be surprised if we burnt Westerkamps RS except in the case for injuries. As for Marlow and Turner.. I don't think it will be an issue. Turner has been practicing different slots so we could easily see them on the field at the same time. But I agree got to see Turner more out there. Quote Link to comment
