HuskerThor
With the performance of Abdullah today, does that push back Rex's comeback? I know it was only Arky St. but he had a damn fine game today, coupled with his performance last week at UCLA. I would also say, that the offensive line performed very well today also. NebraskaHarry
Who knows? If Rex is ready to go next week, give him 5-10 plays to dust off the cobwebs for Wisconsin. Otherwise if he's not ready no need to play him. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
If we don't need Rex next week, I say minimize his playing time or keep him out of the game. Let him heal up more before conference play Quote Link to comment
HuskerThor
As I was watching the game, I told myself a few times, that damn we have some kickass rb's. The offensive line is getting better at opening up some pretty good hole to run through, and that should bode well for our passing game. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Rex = Heisman Trophy Candidate Ameer = Future Heisman Trophy Candidate Rex is the real deal. Everything a college football player should be. Superman in real life. His kryptonite is his offensive line. Fact is, with Rex, we have the prototype of what every D1 team wishes their players would be. Ameer - not sure about the personality stuff, but from what little I know, he seems like a really good kid. Athletically he's showing flashes of brilliance, and could be a beast. His best football is ahead of him. He was, without question, a fantastic steal out of Alabama with the likes of Alabama and Auburn trolling around looking for talent. Ameer Abdullah could be the next Roy Helu. And that's high praise. 4 Quote Link to comment
gin_32
Rex is the man, but these other running backs can also be men.....Ameeer A., quick, strong.....Cross...my gosh he is just a beast Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Not sure if there's been much drop-off...Rex might be a bit tougher to take down, otherwise, don't mind seeing either one of them at any given time. Quote Link to comment

Abdullah 30-167, Cross 7-66, Heard 10-54. I would say no drop off at all. Once again it was ARky St. but they all looked good today. Quote Link to comment
Husker from Kansas
I would like to see Heard carry the ball more, Idk what it is about that guy, He just seems like he could take it all the way any given second Quote Link to comment
akita
Let REX sit next week. Play him on the kick off teams to shake off the rust. Heck let him play some line backer also! Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
We need Rex back for the long haul. As much as I love Ameer, we need a guy like Rex who we can hand the ball to in the I formation and ride him out to a win. Without a doubt in my mind, we win the UCLA game by 2 scores. He's just a steady presence that brings a lot of leadership that can go miles toward bringing a team to victory. Quote Link to comment
Decked
Idaho State is pretty talented we might need him. Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
They said on the telecast that he is supposed to get some touches against Idaho State, but I'd be surprised if he is playing after the 1st quarter. Give him some carries to get back up to game speed while keeping him fresh for the Vadgers in a couple weeks. Quote Link to comment
Ziebol
I'd say put Rex in for the first couple drives so he can shake off any nerves about his injury and then limit him to maybe a few carries for the rest of the game. Got lot of faith in the 3 youngsters all of them play strong and have great futures let's just hope they keep getting better and better. Next year we could be in for a special year Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
Bo said that they don't want to put Rex out there until he's 100% so if he gets on the field, he's in it for the long haul. Quote Link to comment
