Sorry if this was posted somewhere else already, but I watched the entire game last night waiting to see what was so special about the shoes? Did they ever say or did anyone ever find out?

They appear white if you take a close up picture with flash. No idea why anyone thought there would be a purpose for that. . .

Ok, nevermind, I guess I overlooked the final few posts in the other show topic. So they were supposed to appear white with the lights?

Interesting! Thanks for the feedback. The only one that I really noticed having "white shoes" was Taylor. Any reason why he had a different color than everyone else wearing black or red?

He had tape covering his shoes I believe

That is exactly why I asked the question. It was almost like something magical was going to happen. I felt like I was watching the shoes more than the plays for a good chunk of the game (it was actually helpful during the first half since there was nothing else to pay attention to during the game). After watching the video of him, I felt like I was waiting for soemthing special to happen.....

I disagree 100%... The reaction and "dafuq" picture that was created was worth millions of dollars.

 

 

I think Kellogg goes down as a husker legend with that picture.

I never noticed any of the shoes changing color. I only looked twice tho. I did notice that Taylor's shoes and ankles were taped in white and when he ran they turned black. He is that fast.

I don't know why anyone seriously thought they'd be flashing black and white to the naked eye during a game...they only changed colors in the promo videos with a direct, bright light source shining straight on them from inches or feet away.

It seemed like the shoes had a weird shine, they didn't quite turn white but they didn't look black during the later periods of the game.

I thought that possibly under the bright lights we would see some sort of change, but got nothing. Serious disappointment to the point of why even bother. Money down the tubes.
