Ratt Mhule
I would like this a lot more if Gary Williams was still the Maryland bball coach. Another legendary coach wouldn't hurt, but since he retired a few years ago it doesn't matter anymore. Link to comment
Silent Commit
Well, the fact that they just semi-joined the ACC seems to refute your argument Not at all. ND semi-joined the ACC for basketball. ND won't ever join a conference for football. - J Link to comment

irafreak
Exactly. Notre Dame is fighting against the tide right now. Eventually when things go further playoff they may be REQUIRED to enter a conference. They agreed to play a bunch a lousy games against ACC competition just to secure a partial home. Notre Dame isn't much different than Texas in that they have high demands but know deep down they can't have everything. Link to comment
HuskerShark
I don't think ND will ever join the B10. They want to remain independent....it's part of their tradition...their alum wouldn't stand for ND to join a conference for football. So, I don't think that there is anything bigger. Notre Dame may not have a choice if the super conferences begin to take shape. They will either have to join a conference or be left out of National Title contention. Link to comment
