Lil' Red
Not a single Big Ten team is favored. This could be a tough bowl season. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
I was thinking kind of the opposite of the rest of you guys. I think a lot of those matchups are winnable. Nebraska and Minnesota probably have the toughest matchups of all the B1G teams. If the B1G wants to start getting a glimmer of respect from the national audience, at least half of these teams need to win. It will be a tough task, but it needs to happen for the conference to get a little respect. If Wisconsin can win the Rose Bowl, Michigan State beats TCU, and Michigan beats SC, I think just those would help the B1G a lot to begin gaining some respect. Quote Link to comment
Michiganball
These are pretty ugly match ups and I cant favor anyone in BIG this year. I haven't even looked at where these bowl games are so the odds may drop more. Last year we had a team play a Texas team in Texas, Florida team in Florida and a California team in Cally. Also damn, these bowl game names just piss on any tradition that was left in this sport. Meineke Car Care Bowl: Minnesota v. Texas Tech Not happening. LOSS Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: Michigan State v. TCU Their offense is meh, but MSU had almost none for most of the season. Still possible 40/60 win/loss. Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl: Northwestern v. Mississippi State Northwestern can put up the points. MS lost to some good teams, but some of their wins were close vs rather poor teams. 50/50 Heart of Dallas Bowl: Purdue v. Oklahoma State Not happening, close to their backyard as well. LOSS Outback Bowl: Michigan v. South Carolina The good news is Michigan will have time to practice with a new quarterback and their "new" running back. Without DR's possible multiple interceptions they have a good shot. 60/40 as a fan 50/50 otherwise. Capital One Bowl: Nebraska v. Georgia Sorry Huskers but unless something magical happens, it's a loss. That defense needs to get it together against the run especially. There wont be comebacks against these guys. But then again, maybe that loss you took will motivate the team. 20/80 Rose Bowl: Wisconsin v. Stanford Wiscy is Schizophrenic. My concern is that Stanford has to good a defense and wont allow the shenanigans that went down in the BIG championship. 35/65 chance. Quote Link to comment

QMany
MSU and NW have the best chance..thatssssss bout it. Profound thoughts ... HuskerShark
I think MSU ought to win against TCU. If they don't, I will be pretty disappointed. TCU is a quality team, but MSU had better go in their with a bad taste in their mouths from catching a couple bad breaks this year and crush the horned frogs. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
So with the B1G 1-1 so far in bowl games with 5 games left to be played, all on New Years Day, How many does the B1G win? SC vs. Michigan UGA vs. Nebraska Miss St vs. NW Ok St vs. Purdue Stanford vs. Wisconsin All of them are tough matchups, but I think the B1G wins 2 more. If that happens, I think it will be a successful bowl season for the conference. Quote Link to comment

HuskerShark
What I think would be hilarious is if the B1G comes out today and sweeps the SEC teams in bowl games. Supposedly a crappy year in the B1G and SEC teams filling the top 10 all season long. I wonder how ESPN would downplay that. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
Well, we only went 1/3, but it wasn't the cakewalk like expected. Watch out, the top of the B1G can compete with the top of the SEC. Quote Link to comment
