Frida's Boss
He was tossed ...cant act like that Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
Even if he's out, I don't think slamming your helmet down is worthy of getting tossed. Quote Link to comment
tschu
Just horrific officiating. Throwing the player out of the game to boot. Unacceptable. Just terrible. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
I think Darby just got booted for throwing his helmet Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
That's incredibly weak. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Wow that replay def shows he was safe Quote Link to comment
tschu
You just cannot toss a player for tossing a helmet in a high-emotion high-pressure situation like that. Especially after your dumb ass blew the call. Quote Link to comment
MLB 51
Even if he's out, I don't think slamming your helmet down is worthy of getting tossed. Me either. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
I'm right by 1st base and Darby was safe. If I can see it from here, there is no reason for the ump not to Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
Holy hell, Greg Sharpe going in on the radio broadcast. Â "I hope Mike Duffy is proud of his performance today. That's first base umpire, Mike Duffy. D-U-F-F-Y." Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Win or lose, I'm proud as hell. What a scrappy bunch. What an attitude and swagger these guys have shown. Â Amen bro, can't wait to see where our baseball program will be in 2 years. Damn happy we hired Erstad. Â Agree. I had some concern about Erstad's lack of coaching experience, but he's getting these kids to play. Not every game, every play, but they're improving, and I love the attitude and the direction this team has. Â Win or lose today, the future looks bright. Though I'm not a huge ball fan, I tend to think I know about the game and it seems that Erstad's aggresive, small-ball offensive style is so perfect for the college game now a days with these different bats and all. Now youre seeing an attitude and swagger from the players to go along with that style and it puts so much pressure on the defense and fielders in trying to decipher plays at a faster pace.
