Thanks_Tom RR
Jon Dietzen @DietzenJon @mart_man8 hey, they're the first ones to show interest, and they have the most impressive facility I have ever seen Earned an offer during BRW. He sounded impressed by what he saw, but it will be an up hill battle getting him out of Wisky (if they offer). He'll be camping at Madison next weekend, so they'll have a chance to evaluate him then. Good size for a sophomore. Quote Link to comment
BartonHusker
Wisconsin just offered him! He camped there this week and as expected they followed our offer with one of their own. Will be interesting to see what Dietzen does but doesn't look good imo. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Said he grew up a Wiscy fan so that may be difficult to overcome. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
The 2014 TE from Somerset just committed to Minnesota so anything is possible Quote Link to comment
BartonHusker
The Somerset TE also has conflicting reports why he committed to Minnesota as well. There is a lot of talk Nebraska and Wisconsin cooled on him due to personality. Reason he quickly committed to Minnesota soon after. Kid had the talent. Sure anything can happen with Dietzen but it is apparent the one offer any school nationally had to fear him gettting was that Wisconsin offer. Doesn't sound like he will end his recruitment anytime soon but one has to think if you're Wisconsin you're feeling extremely good. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder is entering his junior year, and although he has just one year of starting experience on the Thunder’s varsity, the size and agility he possesses has made him a valued prospect to the Big Ten programs. Besides helping Seymour average 275.7 rushing yards per game in Bay Conference play last season, Dietzen is a defenseman on the Ashwaubenon co-op hockey team. “Jon has played (hockey) for a while, but it’s kind of frightening when you imagine somebody that big on skates,” Seymour football coach Matt Molle said. “But thecrossover part, with the balance and the footwork, it probably helps with the balance and the coordination with a guy his size. Ultimately, that’s what separates guys that get Division I scholarship offers and guys that don’t.” Full article Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Knevel played hockey too We could have a HUGE front line for the inaugural Husker hockey squad. Quote Link to comment
CMT1525
Has visited Wisconsin for two games already this year. And said the huskers are up for his next visit. Will be at the huskers next home game. 2 horse race here with Nebraska and Wisconsin. Wisconsin holds a slight lead but let's not forget we have had success in Wisconsin recently when we signed ah natter Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Sounds like we got almost a 50:50 shot here (vs Wisconsin). Recently was interviewed by Wisconsin reporter, and he was saying a lot a great things about Nebraska and loved the game environment (visited for the Iowa game), much to the chagrin and consternation of the Badger-faithful. Staff has a good start here, but will have to stay strong to keep Dietzen thinking N. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
The coaches will stay with him and hopefully he camps here again next summer. Keep leaning on him and lets get this young man to Lincoln! Quote Link to comment
