StPaulHusker
It's a reasonable prediction that we could lose to Northwestern and Michigan. I disagree but it's reasonable. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
That's some big praise for Michigan. Quote Link to comment
tmfr15
Not a big shock. Basically comes down to an opinion that we can get past teams like Northwestern and Michigan State, but can't get past UCLA or Michigan. That's the book on us. Two big games. We are predicted to lose both. Until we do otherwise, I can't blame anybody for putting that opinion out there. 1 Quote Link to comment

So he has us beating UCLA. Quote Link to comment
ADS
My guess would be loses at Michigan, and either NW or PSU. Quote Link to comment
ShawnWatson
So SI predicts Nebraska 10-2 but not ranked? That makes sense. Quote Link to comment

And Stewart pointedly said on Twitter he disagrees with Staples' Nebraska assessment. Stewart Mandel @slmandel SI asked me to predict the Big Ten. I differ from @Andy_Staples on Nebraska & forecast an IU breakthrough. Quote Link to comment
ADS
Staples is an idiot, I actually like Mandel. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
That's some big praise for Michigan. I think it comes down to their recruiting lately: ESPN Michigan class ranks: 2013 - 6 2012 - 7 2011 - under #25 2010 - 14 2009 - 10 They've out-recruited us every year but 2011. I think these guys pay a LOT of attention to these recruiting rankings in preseason predictions. Quote Link to comment

You would expect for them to at least be slightly on the same page. Maybe. But one of them was trying to make an educated prediction and the other one was trying to generate buzz. Care to guess which one was which? 1 Quote Link to comment
