Foppa
Please tell me this goes away in a few days. I'm sure it will. It is the first game week of the season, so a tidal wave of new threads should wash this one away. Why do you care? Post if you want. Don't if you don't. I care because gimmicks suck. *posted because I wanted to* 1 Quote Link to comment

I care because gimmicks suck. *posted because I wanted to* Hey, that's a fair point. Your first post was merely a drive-by snide remark. It may be a bit premature to start throwing around nicknames, just like our "new" manufactured rivalry with the Hawkeyes. Same point JJHusker was making. I understand your point, but this thread is just really not that serious. I am just happy that we have some consistency of coaching staff, consistency of Offensive and Defensive systems, etc. The coaching can move into another level when the system is constant. Kind of like a TO philosophy. Quote Link to comment
Kiyoat Husker
Beck has described our offense as a mutt. I think that's as good a nickname as any. I think I like this one the best. Not too presumptuous. Self-depreciating, but mutts can be dangerous. Would be perfect if we had a canine of some kind as a mascot, but no. Quote Link to comment

suigeneris
The Red Tide, since our guys can score during any period. classy. TMart included #RedTide in a tweet earlier. Hopefully someone pointed out to him that the phrase also refers to one of the burdens of womanhood. Quote Link to comment
