Sparty Not So Scary

It's typical Sparty--personal fouls, good defense, and bad offense. They won't do any better nor any worse than last year.

 

That defense does look a bit better than last year, though.

 

Then again, I'm honestly more worried about Minnesota pulling an upset on us than Michigan State. I know it's odd, but I'm a tad worried that Kill may have something good going on up there in Minnesota.

The defense looks better because they are playing Western Michigan.

 

Let's wait until we get to conference play to see what Minnesota has going on; they have a good running back, and Phillip Nelson is turning into a very serviceable quarterback. They're not a team to be taken lightly.

Not sure why personal fouls are typical, just 2 years ago they were one of the least penalized teams even having played a perfect no penalty game. If you mean like last year, ok, but it's not really typical of them long term.

I dont know, they have had quite a few unsportsman like penalties. They play with a chip on their shoulder all the time....it gets old.
