Fuzzy
I'll start defensively. 3rd down conversions - Rank #32 Opponent att - 47 opponent comp - 15 Percentage 31% Kickoff return defense - Rank #8 Avg 16.5 yds per return Interceptions - Rank #3 Tied with Missouri at 9 INT That's pretty much it. Nebraska averages 2 sacks per game and 6 tackles for loss a game. The only positives statistically for individuals on the defense was Baptiste and Evans with 4 and 4 INTs respectively. Stanley is tied with 2 other players leading the nation in Interceptions. Offensively Quincy Enunwa is in the Top 10 with 5 TD catches. Imani Cross is in the Top 20 with 5 rushing TDs. Ameer ranks #8 in the nation in total rushing yds with 465, needs about 200 to catch up to Melvin Gordon of Wisconsin, Here is one bright stat, Nebraska ranks #1 in pass sacks allowed. 2 sacks so far tied with Navy, Air Force and Toledo. Nebraska ranks #4 in first down offense. (Wyoming ranks ahead of us by 7 first downs). Nebraska ranks #15 in scoring offense average 43 points per game. #14 in rushing offense and for giggles #78 in passing offense but completes 78% of its passes. Nebraska and Michigan St have only given up 1 INT while Michigan has given up 9. Finally Nebraska ranks #58 in Red Zone offense with an 85% completion rate. Comparing them to other teams that have seen the red zone 20 plus times like Nebraska has, there are about a dozen teams that have a better percentage in the red zone than Nebraska does, the highest being Ohio State at 95%. Hayseed
Our offensive line appears to be the best one we've had in 12 years....is that my imagination? The pass protection has been outstanding and the run blocking must be pretty good if our backs are putting up top 10 numbers. I haven't heard one person complain about the line coach this year ,which just seems strange. Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Here is one bright stat, Nebraska ranks #1 in pass sacks allowed. 2 sacks so far tied with Navy, Air Force and Toledo. Well, since 2 out of the 3 teams DON'T pass, its all good. Quote Link to comment

MichiganDad3
On the good side, this has been accomplished with an injured QB. On the bad side, this has been accomplished against the 98th ranked schedule. Quote Link to comment

I think "we" may have other issues against good teams and it's becoming plain as the nose on "our" face. Quote Link to comment

NUinID
I'll start defensively. 3rd down conversions - Rank #32 Opponent att - 47 opponent comp - 15 Percentage 31% This is actually a very big stat. and I think a lot better than NU has been the past few years. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Our O line hasn't been called for holding all year. They have allowed two sacks. Quote Link to comment

We've played 3 pushovers (should have been). Stats are pretty meaningless at this point IMO...at least "positive" stats. Honestly everything should be pretty spectacular right about now. The SEC is playing conference games while we've been playing a bunch of cup cakes. On the other hand...the "negative" stats are pretty telling...because it's only likely to get worse as the competition goes up drastically. Last year at this point our offensive 3rd down conversions were 28/50 (56%). This year we're 49%. Last year at this point our defensive 3rd down converstions were 24/65 (37%). This year we're 32%. Redux
Another thing is we havent not lost to a really good UCLA team that could maybe win its division/conference. Quote Link to comment
