Eric the Red
Call for coaches heads all you want. I counted 4 dropped passes including a touchdown. Several by our "star" receiver. 1 Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
Big times as well that would have moved chains. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Seems like the WRs have been off the last two games. They probably had more than four in the Purdue game. Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
Very uncharacteristic drops as well. Couldn't believe Kenny and Quincy played that poorly. Quote Link to comment
NUpolo8
To call those passes "eminently catchable", is flat dishonest. 3 Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
To call those passes "eminently catchable", is flat dishonest. This. Catchable, probably. But Taylor put his WRs in some bad spots. He either threw them high or too low Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Yeah, there were screenshots posted in the game thread of that play where Kenny was wide open but the throw made it more difficult than it should have been. Another one looked really low and the receiver had to stop and get to the ground to try to make it. Drops happen every game, but it's a function of more than one variable. Better throws are easier to catch. On Kenny's endzone miss the ball was also behind him. He was running left across the field and the ball came high and to the right. Even if it hadn't required him to reach back over to get his hands on it, Kenny was likely going to get walloped too. But Taylor was under duress on that one. Quote Link to comment
Hayseed
Yeah, I agree that our receivers are okay but over-rated. I wonder if Bell has full use of both arms. We also don't appear to have as much depth there as in recent years. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
I don't think our receivers are overrated at all. We have NFL talent there, but we're not making use of it. Kenny is a beast. By the way, being a New England Patriots fan this year and having watched all of those games, I consider myself a bit of a drops connoisseur at this point Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Gee.....I wonder if this QB carousel affects WR's at all? Derpa derp...... We can't blame Taylor! But f#*k these damn WR'S for dropping balls! 5 Quote Link to comment

As well of any fan of any team that at any point had Terrell Owens. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
There is no correlation between ball placement and the ability to make a catch apparently. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
This isn't a catchable ball. OK. 1 Quote Link to comment

People should note that in your gif. , that's our backup, redshirt freshman qb making a throw that our "struggling" receiver laid up for at risk of life in the middle of 4 defenders to haul in with one hand, showing incredible moxy and swagger in doing so.
