Nebraska Pro Day

I just did my own timing of his run over and over adding 3 tenths on to the beginning of his run (first two steps) i got an average of 3.98 (very close to this number the whole time) before adding the .3 i guessed the beginning of his run took. After adding the guess of his start he ran a 4.29-4.3 flat 40. This is with a home stopwatch and a birds eye view of the run though so grain of salt and all that.

Anyone, that actually cares to check, know where T-marts numbers rank compared to the other QBs

Taylor Martinez told media today that scouts clocked him at a 4.28 40-yard dash, with a 39" vertical and 10'9" broad jump. #Huskers

Best QB 40 at the Combine this year was 4.61 by Logan Thomas. "Recent Best" was 4.35 by Reggie McNeal in 2006. Unsure how far back "recent" is - 2006?

Best QB Vertical was 35.5 by Logan Thomas. Recent Best was 40.0.

Best QB Broad Jump was 9'10" by Logan Thomas. Recent Best was 10'8" by Brad Smith.

Doesn't look like any 2014 QBs did Bench. Looks like few ever do but since 2006 there were only five guys with more than Martinez's 19.

Edit: on the 40 times, the combine's are electronic but it looks like Taylor's were hand-held today. The nominal conversion is +0.24 seconds which would have put Martinez at 4.52. There have only been five faster than that since 2006 - Reggie McNeal, RGIII, Marcus Vick, Brad Smith and Tyrod Taylor.

Jesus... I don't know if Taylor will make it in the league, but those are some ridiculous measurables. We all knew he was a crazy good athlete, but not that good.

+0.24? That's harsh! I didn't know Tyrod Taylor or Brad Smith were known as particularly fast, either. TM seems easily faster than both of them.
