2014 World Cup: 147 goals with 11 matches remaining

Good job, #WorldCup.

Time to check for corked bats legs

Haha, some are actually suggesting that the new balls are to blame(praise?) for the increased scoring. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/how-the-brazuca-may-be-changing-soccer-at-this-world-cup-031924953-soccer.html

I dislike Neuer being so quick off the line. He's going to miss one of these times and either concede a goal or get sent off.

I don't think he has too much of a choice. Each time it's been the right call and the German defenders can't seem to keep up. We're heading into extra time now.

Do they play the full 30 minutes always, or is it a golden goal kind of deal?

Well...he either stays back and tries to block the shot at the last or run out and stop the attack before it gets really dangerous. He's good enough to successfully do the latter as he did many times today.

Germany is much like Brazil in this tournament: still alive, but not hitting their best quite yet. Let's hope they both do if they get by Brazil and France respectively
