beanman
We have the money to be a top player So why did Saban use Texas for artificial leverage if we have money dripping out of Memorial Stadium? Proof that TheSker is nutz. Quote Link to comment

Danimal
Not saying the board should become a sunshine-pumping circle-jerk but it isn't like OP doesn't have a point. The internet does have power. Last season showed that. Folks constantly bashing and running with BS rumors does have a negative impact. Of course on-field product is the most important thing but that doesn't change the fact that folks on the net do make themselves part of the problem. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaShellback
Putting out a crappy product is hurting recruiting, not fans reacting appropriately to the crappy product. But we aren't reacting appropriately. Were freaking out after a win. Nebraska fans are notorious for overreacting. 1925-1928 MVC/Big 6 Earnest Bearg HC (Graduate of Washburn University) 23-7-3 Record Fact: According to Nebraska's official athletics website, Bearg fielded powerful team during his four years at the helm but "fans criticized him for not using strategy and deception, which eventually led to his resignation." Notice the parallel from that era of Nebraska fans to today. Time had changed so much, right? Not! :bang :bang :bang :bang :bang Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Sure recruits might read the boards. However if we are a deciding factor in determining if a kid comes to our school we don't have a staff that knows how to sell a kid. EVERY program has message boards and EVERY team deals with different fans having different opinions. We aren't the only ones. But not EVERY school has a Hedley Lamar! How ya been Lam Lam? I look forward to our teams underachieving every year just as anticipation for your arrival. It's like tax season in September. Quote Link to comment
