Miyammi
Evening folks. Looking forward to being @ Memorial and a stadium that actually has a pulse. I'm curious if any of you are familiar with two golf courses around Lincoln. Crooked Creek & Highlands? I know nothing of either but we've got T-Times @ both and doubt we'll be putting 36 holes in before getting to the Tailgate. If any of you know....which is the more preferable course? I don't often visit or participate in message boards but I'm curious about those two courses and enjoying a real college atmosphere and absolutely thrilled to take it all in. As for the game itself, I've noticed a couple Miami fans have posted some in-depth stuffs about our program. In the current state of, well....reality, Miami will be the poorest offense you've seen all year, and highly probable the poorest of the remaining opponents on your schedule. Sadly, this is not a kneejerk opinion on a recent performance, yet a statement of fact provided by the body of work and its statistical disaster. It's only natural that you all will be focusing on Nebraska players that thrive during the game and the particular plays in which they'll have success. Sparing you from the route concepts, line blocking scheme and Coley's horrifying hash call scheme, I'll share the simple version of how horrid it is and what will eventually lead to yet another blowout loss. Miami simply doesn't score second half TD's and sustained drives are ultra rare. If Miami has a single drive of 10 plays or more, it'll be a surprise. Against teams with winning records, Miami scored 10 total second half touchdowns in 2013. There's definitely a defensive TD or two in that total. This recent weekend, versus Arkansas State , Miami had two (third Qtr) second half TD's. The only other second half score was in a blowout loss to Louisville. Miami has one drive of 10 plays or more this season, and 15 total including the 2013 season vs all competition. To put an emphasis on how comedic it is, there's only been 3 total TD's via a sustained drive since Aug 2013. The offense does not convert third downs. Arkansas State helped to limit its embarrassing place in CFB, yet..it still hovers near the very bottom statistically. I'll spare you any details about Miami's defense, which has been the worst in all of CFB in recent years. This yrs current defensive rank is close to where it was at this time last season, yet..found its way to the bottom of the defensive food chain by season's end It's by far the worst statistical Miami team I've seen in my lifetime...and I've been to 10 of Miami's MNC games...so, it's been a while. I'm aware you aren't thrilled with your current staff, but prepare yourselves for two of CFB's most poorly coached (Off/Def) units. And we'll not speak of special teams...However, Miami's favorite and most often used play is the Punt. Grrrrrrrr I'll be attending and exited to see this game. I'll also have a FL Lotto ticket in hand. Anyone want to wager which will come closer to winning? Take care, TY for any course suggestions and GL 2 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Crooked Creek is a far better course. Highlands is only fun if it is pretty windy. You couldn't have picked courses any further apart for what its worth either. Play Crooked Creek Quote Link to comment
HuskerFanChuck
Disagree. Crooked Creek is okay. Highlands is more challenging and more fun in my estimation. Quote Link to comment
Sargon
Super long posts...even from a board champion, won't be read. My man. Makes sense? Golf? Hit it straight. Blow out? Cool us husker fans are patiently waiting for that. Anything else? (make it short and sweet brah). Quote Link to comment

Miyammi
Well, my buddy says Crooked Creek, someone in the lobby allegedly said it was better. I'll try to scam 9 holes @ each with a nice BBQ joint between, but my plan may fail. As mentioned about the blowout. If anyone troubles themselves to look @ Miami statistics, you'll see ineptitude personified and 3/out for the offense is commonplace. I wish I could explain Miami's defensive philosophy to you, but my Cane brethren, nor myself, Can identify WTF they're doing. On the Jumbo-Tron, watch how many Hurricane defenders have their backs turned to the LOS, while your QB breaks from the pocket over and over, on legitimate pass plays. Your QB will rush for over a hun, your TE's and WR's are free to do as they wish @ 5-7 yrds from the LOS, particularly in the middle of the field. OK, fellas. We're off to some place called The Egg & I ?? BTW, this is no troll or MB buffoonery attempt, I would lay quality coin and wager Miami's roster has more future NFL players on it, but the scoreboard will not remotely reflect it. I brought a few extra fine Cuban cigars, if anyone wants to identify your lot location? Tilt back a quick brew....We'll not be lingering anywhere, we have an away game ritual of looping around the away game stadium. Tall dude with a green UM polo and green UM hat, Beer in one hand...Cigar in other. Give me a yell If you see one of those passing. Take care and GL, TY for suggestions, and here's to everyone having a good time tonight ---> (_)0 1 Quote Link to comment
CornHunka
On golf, it depends what you are looking for. Highlands is a links style course and IMO, easily the best public course in Lincoln. While it's been a long time since I played Crooked Creek, it's tree-lined and fairly easy with no hole that really stands out. If I had my choice, I'd play the Highlands, hands down. Redux
Welcome to Lincoln! I truly wish I was going to be in town today to take you up on the cigar offer. Appreciate you guys making the trip even though you think it's going to be a blowout for the Canes. Shows true fan integrity to make the journey for what you perceive as a huge loss. You seem to be very cordial towards us so you will have 0 problems finding a tailgate. If you would rather mingle with the locals you will find us quite hospitable and welcoming, no need to be shy around us. Miami has an extensive history with us and its no secret we like to relive glory days. I'm not a golfer but my friends usually go to Highlands if that helps. Hope you enjoy them and your stay in Nebraska. Thanks for coming and I hope you all enjoy the game! Quote Link to comment

Cool us husker fans are patiently waiting for that. Anything else? (make it short and sweet brah). Who the hell are you? Sargon. And apparently you are SW. Which means the debate is over re who is more intelligent. Seriously dude did you ever think, ever, that with your username you'd have a hard time ever implying that another poster is dumber than you? You should have thought that out a bit more SW. I'm guessing you won't learn anything from this post. Quote Link to comment
Apathy
Your QB will rush for over a hun, your TE's and WR's are free to do as they wish @ 5-7 yrds from the LOSI don't think you'll have to worry about our TE's cause since Beck has been calling plays, he fails to utilize the TE's Quote Link to comment
Sargon
Beck found some new plays last week. So maybe we should wait and see about it (hopefully). Quote Link to comment
Redux
Beck found some new plays last week. So maybe we should wait and see about it (hopefully). Have Tommy stand in the pocket for 8 seconds and lob it at Westerkamp? Seen it. Quote Link to comment
Sargon
Well, let's not try that one lol (but westy seems to catch everything so maybe.). Quote Link to comment
