The King
Ameer Santos, Gregory, roach. In that order. Secondary played great per usual. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
EVERYONE. EVERY. ONE. Zoogs I'm with ya on this. I wanted to try to pick a couple players but damn we really stepped up all around when we needed to. Coaches included. You could see that game changing and we responded as players and coaches. Damn that was fun to watch. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
For a team that doesn't force turnovers, we should've forced 4, but ended up forcing 3. Should have been 5 if Collins keeps hustling. Yep. Saw that too. I bet he learns from that one. Quote Link to comment
ithinkiloverg44
Game ball numero uno is ameer. Nothing.needs or can be said. Numero two is Santos. I know he had a few iffy plays and throughout his career he has been picked on but tonight without him we may have had more trouble. Great game David. Do it again next week Quote Link to comment
Landlord
The student section Tim Beck Ameer Abdullah Randy Gregory Trevor Roach Josh Mitchell (although he is lucky he wasn't ejected) Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
Don't forget the O-Line. Dominant tonight. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
A lot to be proud of tonight. Ameer ran the ball for close to 40 times for 200+ yards and rarely went down after first contact. Beck continued to feed our star player the ball and fed our WRs every now and then. Tommy managed the game well. The offensive line opened holes for Ameer and provided protection when we threw; Tommy wasn't sacked all night. Josh Mitchell played really well, especially for being so undersized. We didn't hear his WRs name more than once, and he had a scoop and score. Roach forced that fumble and played his tail off the rest of the night. Santos, man he stepped up big tonight. Here's hoping to see that the rest of the year. Defensive line did alright; with as dirty as Thug U's oline was playing I'm sure they were doing the best they could. Props to the secondary. For a team that doesn't force turnovers, we should've forced 4, but ended up forcing 3. We ran the ball 54 times. We would usually have about 4 fumbles with that number. Only 1 and that was from a pretty sturdy hit. Drew Brown calls his shots, and then makes them. Great game all around. Let's see if this has lit a fire underneath a program that has been asleep for far too long. Plus 1. Mitchell deserves a game ball for sure. Your point was spot on and I thought of that earlier. Wasn't he lined up against their speedster most of the game? How much of a factor did that WR play? None. At the end of the game they switched it up and Davie covered him also and Davie did a nice job as well. This was BLACKSHIRT football. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
The student section Tim Beck Ameer Abdullah Randy Gregory Trevor Roach Josh Mitchell (although he is lucky he wasn't ejected) Haha, he's a little scapper, ain't he? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Offensive Line deserves it. And of course AA. But I'd go with Mitchell. Even without the TD, he totally shut down their big play WR on a night when they were throwing the ball better than we would have liked. Quote Link to comment
