Eric the Red
Have heard from many people that the crowd was absolutely out of control from start to finish. Announcers said it a few times. Best part we had a bunch of recruits in town. Could those who went please share an experience. I tailgated for hours and it was intense in the parking lots. Quote Link to comment
Hingle McCringleberry
My brother called me on his way home. Said he wont have a voice by this morning, the crowd stayed in it until the end. Very vocal, on par with the last Mizzou or CU games (both sonic booms). Went tailgating and agree with the sub current of tension (or something), straight up chaos at the Rez. Before the game was really weird. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Crowd was as loud as I remember. Most of the first half was off the charts. A little lull in the third quarter but it got going again later and was deafening down the stretch. Also, there wasn't a lot of sitting. All around the stadium the majority of the people I could see were standing for most of the fourth quarter. Quote Link to comment

I wondered why they were issuing cialis or viagra to every male over the age of 50 I agree; even just watching the game on TV the crowd seemed more engaged than it had for many games prior. CheeseHusker
It was CU 1992 territory. Yes, that good. And it was awesome. Quote Link to comment
87skers
Loudest game I've ever been to and probably the funnest game I've been too. GBR Quote Link to comment
K-Town Husker
Kudos to the Bone Yard for helping to create such an awesome atmosphere. All Husker fans should be proud. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Matt davison said it was a whole new level. Said hes been to a lot of "loud" games but theres a difference between loud and hostile. The hostility was evident from the get go. Just somethin about that damn U walkin on our field just triggered somethin. And theres probably only two logos in college football that can trigger such. The other is the paper clip. Chaddyboxer
The place went off the handle when the first major scuffle broke out. Sideline and crowd went insane. Memorial was definitely an intimidating place last night. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
It's like the blue-hairs got up and screamed when they normally wouldnt. This game meant a lot to fans. Place went crazy when Tom walked out with the 94 team...I got a Lil teared eyed, not gonna lie. Quote Link to comment

Place went crazy when Tom walked out with the 94 team...I got a Lil teared eyed, not gonna lie.i made a comment that "leave it to thug U to rile up yhe blue hairs". And i was mostly serious. Yeah. But its actually a pretty serious statement. Think about it. The older faction of fans have no ill will towards the ohio sts and michigans etc. Hell ill even stretch it to texas. Texas was never an issue till the mid 90s. You look at the 60 year old+ aged fanbase and the nervepinchers are oklahoma and miami. Miami caused a lot of grief in the 80s. And we finally got em in our house. Quote Link to comment

Before the game was really weird. I was at the Indian Center tailgate too. Don't know what the hell happened. I saw one guy going out on a stretcher, about 8 people handcuffed, and the most police cars and police I have seen in one place. They made that police line and started pushing everybody out. They wouldn't let me go back to get my game tickets out of my car until everybody was out of that lot. It was a great buzz in Lincoln all day. The game crowd noise was crazy. Everybody in my section was standing and screaming the whole game. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
I was a little annoyed early in the game when after every play there was a lot of friendly slaps on top of the helmet... I kept thinking "I was expecting some hostility" ... And then Randy is pinned on his back and things were getting very interesting. I dont want to see fighting, but things went from calm to angry very quickly. Quote Link to comment
Grape Julius
Could someone who was a regular at Memorial in the 80s through mid-90's make a comparison between big home games from that era and the noise level last night? I'm curious about the effect the stadium renovations have had and if Memorial is even louder as a result. Regardless, the stadium atmosphere against Miami from start to finish was...never mind. I don't think there are enough keys on my keyboard to describe it. Just proud to be a Husker today. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
After the first scuffle in the third it got loud. Fans wanted blood. I loved it! Need to keep this intensity up even though we don't have too many "big name" games at home. Quote Link to comment
