  1. I have learned and just got reminded how us Husker fans are a bunch of spoiled babies. We got spoiled in the 90's. At one time we Husker fans knew how to lose gracefully. Sure, I don't like seeing the Huskers getting blown out like this. The sun still rose the next day. Life goes on. There will be other games. If this loss has bothered you that much, like it appears it has to many of you, you better seek some help. It appears some of you may have mental issues. For the books I am upset with how the team played, and how the coach and his staff have performed. It could be worse. It has been worse.
  2. I have watched "Unbeaten" twice. She'd tears both times. Not normal for a person like me. If you have not seen it or refuse to watch it I highly recommend you watch it. Yes it will bring back memories you have probably forgotten about or don't really want to remember. More importantly this show reminded us that football is only a game and those playing it really are human. We make mistakes. We have to learn to live with others decisions even if we don't like them. Life does matter. Brooke Berringer was a classic example of what we all should strive to be like. He only wanted a chance and when he got it he made the most of it. Thank you B1G for a job well done.
  3. Kudos to the Bone Yard for helping to create such an awesome atmosphere. All Husker fans should be proud.
  4. I did not mind the booing. It was warranted. It's not Husker though. The atmosphere at this game was definitely like no other game in several years. The energy was high at the beginning of the game. As the game went on that energy grew. As it grew the players fed off of it resulting in what I think was some of the most physical play by both our defense and offense in resent years. If they can keep that up the Huskers could win any game. To do that the fans need to keep the atmosphere and energy like they had for this game. We still need to stay classy.
  5. Garrett Kidd also looks like Richard Steven Horvitz in Summer School (1987)
  6. It might not have hurt to let Armstrong go in for one series. During that series you have a real good one on one talk with Martinez and calm him down. In the mean time maybe Armstrong might have a spark that jump starts the offense. I do agree that the play calling wasn't what I expected it to be for this game. Nebraska has too many talented players to let them stand on the side lines. Use them. By gosh when you come out from half time you need to make adjustments and be prepared to change things because UCLA sure did.
  7. I don't care if So. Miss. is as bad as they look in that video I still think Nebraska has problems putting a complete game together. I am not over looking them and I hope the Huskers aren't either.
  8. I hope three. Two is realistic. If only one then the game was closer than it should have been.
  9. Ok, now I wish it were game time. Thanks for sharing!!! GBR!!!
  10. Love it!!!! Great way to start another season. GOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIIIG REEEEEEEED!!!!!! GO BIG RED!!!!!
  11. It's probably a number of things. Bo has said a number of times that he likes the leadership on this team more than in the past (this is also reflected by his decision to have permanent captains). I also think both of these decisions (shirts/captains) demonstrate that Bo is not as stubborn as many think. I also think that John Papuchis probably had something to do with the decision - I think they're trying to distribute some shirts now to motivate their players - both the veterans who were given blackshirts, and those players who are still fighting for one. My question is, when will more blackshirts be distributed? And to whom? I was thinking the same thing. Reward those who have stepped up. Create some competition for the remaining blackshirts. I like the move! Can't wait for kick off. GBR!!!!!
  12. Maher may be in a slump but I think he has another problem. Last season he had to prove himself and he had his head in the game all season. Prior to this season he was placed on some watch lists. Between last years success and being placed on the watch lists he got another problem to deal with. A big EGO. I don't think Maher has his head in the game because of his ego. Just my opinion after watching him since High school. Fame will mess with you.
  13. I thought I heard that Nebraska made some minor adjustments in how they were calling their defense so they weren't waiting until the last minute to make a decision which allowed the players to get in position faster. Plus I think Wisconsin got wore down a little allowing the defense to take control. I did like the third and long situation where Nebraska's defensive front were all Defensive Ends for pass rush.
  14. I liked the new uni's. It was a nice rinkle to the show. As a fan who had to watch the game on t.v. the uni's appeared darker under the lights. I would like to see what they look like during a day game. Like many of you I prefer the regular uni's. My suggestion is if they want to change anything with the uni's for a game try small changes. Maybe a black pant with red and white stripes, or black face masks. If they don't want to go that far go with red shirt and pants for home games, and for away games the white jersey with black pants as previously mentioned. Oh well, hope this hoped with recruiting. IF this was a one time deal might I suggest they auction off the jersey's with part of the proceeds going to charity.
