ladyhawke
For years Oklahoma was a thorn in Tom Osborne's side. He could win every other game but Oklahoma was the 'big one' that he could never win. Is Michigan State our new 'Oklahoma' or is it Ohio State? We have beaten both of these teams and Wiscy as well. What do you think? Quote Link to comment
OH HSKR FAN
It is too early to tell because of a small sample size. I'm going to be leaning towards Wisconsin as we will not be be playing Michigan State much after 2015. Quote Link to comment

It's a symptom of not being an elite team. 2 Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
LOL, we are 8-2 against them, and Pelini is 3-2 counting his interim coaching bowl win. What do I think? Not at all. 1 Quote Link to comment

louisianared
If we can become the West power I think we will become it could become Ohio State. Â Personally, I hope we become someone's "Oklahoma", or we can just convince the Big Ten to bring in Oklahoma. Quote Link to comment

GBR #1
Not even close! We match up pretty good with Michigan State and have played close games. Let's face it, they get good quarterbacks who have made it to the next level, have good RBs who have made it to the next level, and they play defense. They are a tough, well-coached team, but they are beatable. Quote Link to comment
HuskerinSunDiego
I see that role belonging to Wisconsin. Quote Link to comment
OH HSKR FAN
Can Michigan State sustain their current level of success when Dantonio retires? Narduzzi, I have to believe will be their replacement. Quote Link to comment
tschu
"Oklahoma was a thorn in our side" is the understatement of the millenium; OU-NU was a college football rivalry for the ages. Â Michigan State isn't even in our division, so barring title games we'll play them twice every four years. This is essentially what killed our rivalry with OU - the Big 12 realignment. Our new big "rival" if we eventually reach that status with any B1G teams, is likely to be Wisconsin. But certainly have developed some kind of "rivalry" of sorts with MSU; each game we've played them in has been very competitive and usually pretty meaningful for one or both teams. Creighton Duke
Definitely Wisconsin: Â Play them every year now Beats us on the reg The "other" Big Red History of obnoxious head coaches Quote Link to comment
walksalone
I see that role belonging to Wisconsin. Â Â Thats a big negatory ghost rider... Â I'm not sure why everyone is so wrapped up in who our new rival is. That has to be built over years of lop sided victories, crushing defeats, and bad blood. Hell, Miami is more of a rival than Mich St and Wiskey combined. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaShellback
Nope! They never will be. Quote Link to comment
Warrior
If we play them in the CCG year in and year out I would say yes.. If not it is Wiscy.. Quote Link to comment
