HuskerinSunDiego
I don't know anything about this guy's management style. Has he ever fired a coach at any of this other stops? Hired one? What do we know about this guy's personality that might shed some light on whether Bo will be handed his pink slip? Quote Link to comment
strigori
We know nothing. And he does not want to talk about it. He had described his style as letting the coaches speak for the athletic department. Pelini is saying volumes. Quote Link to comment

He comes out of his hole once per year and if he sees his shadow we get Bo for another year. 10 Quote Link to comment
HuskerinSunDiego
Does anybody really know anything about how Eichorst operated in his previous stops? Seriously. Quote Link to comment
strigori
His previous stop was Miami. He was only there like 18 months. He was recommended by Alvarez. He had a reputation as a ghost at Miami, and they were not really sorry to see him leave. Quote Link to comment

Paul in WI
Seriously, does he strike anyone here as someone that will step forward and make a decisive decision? He strikes me more as a lap dog. You aren't going to hear boo from this guy until he gets instructions from his handlers. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, the idea of him being in charge of hiring someone really scares me. 1 Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Well, for one the decision relies on so many more than just him. 2. His stop at Miami was so brief, you cant really get a good gauge on his tendancies from that. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
The AD has to be preparing for the possibility that things go off the rails against Iowa on this short week. A nice, convincing Nebraska win would buy them more time. I'm interested in seeing what happens... Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
From what I've seen at Nebraska and Miami it's to be noticed as little as possible while climbing the ladder. Don't make waves type of leadership. Quote Link to comment
WhatDoIKnow
How do we know that he doesn't want to fire Bo? We don't. Seems strange to take shots at the guy. It has been mentioned many times, but it's not one person's decision. Quote Link to comment

I'm only afraid he won't pull the trigger. With his background the first guy he talks to on advice for a coaching hire is Barry Alvarez. Quote Link to comment

teachercd
He is a paycheck collector, as I would hope to be as AD of a big school. Ideally, you would hope that you are there for 15-20 years and never once make a real decision...anyone that says different is a liar. You want to walk into a spot where your basketball coach is a young Billy Donovan (No, not Miles, relax) and a middle aged Saban. You want to walk into the dream job...so you can shake hands, golf, fund raise and relax. Quote Link to comment
