This has happened in the past where B1G gets an extra NY6 (BCS) b/c of money (fan following fills the hotels). This ends up having a trickle down effect on the bowl match ups which could affect next year's polls & hype. B1G might get 3 wins but what if they were:

MSU-Bama (no change)

Iowa-Stanford (no change)

OSU vs Florida

Mich vs Tenn

NW vs USC

Wisc vs UGa

PSU vs Duke

IU vs C Mich

Minn/Neb vs UCLA

B1G probably goes 3-0 vs SEC and like 7-3 overall.

I think the opposite will happen for PAC since they only have 1 playoff-NY6 team. They are going to have very favorable match ups.

Big Ten ALWAYS plays bowl games at a disadvantage. California teams in California, Southeastern teams in Florida.....Even freakin' CMU gets a home game vs Minnesota!

Most games are vs the other top-2 conferences in terms of money and power. 1 ACC, 1 MAC, no Big XII, no MWC, no Sunbelt.

The record would be a lot more pretty if we scheduled more ACC bowl games. Midlevel ACC teams are a lot easier to beat. It is what it is, gotta win more than you lose.

Something that is oddly not considered as an advantage in CF is travel, yet it is this sport that has one the highest statistical advantages to those who do the least of it. The deck is fairly stacked against B1G in post season I'd say. 3-4 wins maybe.

PAC 12

4 of 10 games in home state 4 of 10 in conference zone, 2 more are in a neighboring state so hardly a traveling stretch. Last year all but one game was played outside their territory(lost that one), so no coincidence they had the best bowl record, it's a bit more challenging this year.

ACC

1 of 9 games in home state 4 of 9 in conference state.

Big 12

2 of 7 in state and total 2 of 7 in conference. All games short hop in the south, Tenesee, Florida, Lousiana, arizona. Easy on travel for team and fans, but some however will be fairly hostile.

SEC

3 of 10 in home state 10 of 10 in conference territory! Hmm, how about that, no advantage at all there.

BIG

0 of 10 in state 1 of 10 in conference territory.

Sucks a bit for Indiana as it looks like their kicker did actually make that field goal. Not reviewable since the kick was above the posts, (another odd pointless rule that supports inept refs). Looking from under and between the posts it looked like the ball passed on the inside.

I thought live and on the replay that it was on the outside part of the upright.

The rule is a little ambiguous on an attempt over the upright but it seems to say it has to be inside and I don't see that from any angle.
