Drew Ott's Medical Hardship Application

Good luck to Mr. Ott. "Rivalry" and all be damned. He seems like a good egg, and if he wants to return to the Hawkeyes for another year, I'm in his corner.

So does this seem like something DPE could do?

Presuming he heals properly, DPE probably won't be at Nebraska long enough to exhaust his eligibility.

So, you're assuming that DPE goes to the NFL after 2016? I like DPE, but that usually doesn't happen for a return specialist. DPE could be a good/great receiver, but he hasn't shown it yet.

So, now do they let him play because they FEEL SO BAD that they left him out in the cold? Dude, you played like 7 games this season. Worry about getting drafted. It's OVAH! Or it should be anyways.

I kept telling the Iowa fans that he played a lot this year and that more than likely he wouldn't get a medical redshirt but they wouldn't believe me.

Nothing against Drew Ott, and it sucks that he's being jerked around by the NCAA, but would anyone on this board really care too much either way if he wasn't a Nebraska native?

Even if it was an SEC kid, I'd still think it's BS.

But I doubt there would be a thread dedicated to it.

That's the point I am trying to make.

I know. And I agree with you
