The 2016 Republican National Convention

Screw Trump.

Let him take his incessant fear-mongering and go play on people's base emotions as a two-bit dictator in some third-world country.

Disappointed that so many in the Republican party seemed to just want to throw the book at Clinton. I mean, I get it, that's their thing. But it seemed to me the only ones up there with a positive message were his kids, Pence, and oddly enough, Ted Cruz.

Also disappointing is their complete disregard for any type of objective fact. I'm not shocked, because it's a known fact that the factions of the right we're dealing with here (Trump, Newt, Pence, Tea Partiers) have made hay using intellectual dishonesty in the past, but it's still disappointing. Being able to back up what you say should still matter, right?

The party has really lost its way. It is Trump's party now. Win or lose in the fall, I'm going to live the rest of my life happy I kept responsibility for him off my hands.

Couldn't agree more. I'm one of those previously registered Democrats that was anxious to switch my affiliation to Republican for the Nebraska primary. The only reason I did was so I could at least tell my kids I voted AGAINST him. I will now get the chance to do it twice :)

Sadly, since I'm in Nebraska it will more than likely be nothing more than I protest vote...

I think the sadder thing is they weren't voting against Clinton in the primaries, so they don't have that excuse.

The anti-Trump movement was strong, but they weren't unified in primary season. As Trump picked up a head of steam, they splintered.

This is what happens when one side fails to organize politically. I suppose it's hard to blame them because it wasn't apparent what would happen early on, and it was legitimately confusing around whom they should have coalesced. Hopefully what's left of #NeverTrump has learned it's lesson for the general election.

I would trust Trump way before trusting Clinton. Clinton is the most shady, underhanded, egotistical, maniacal candidate we have seen in some time.

Yeah, the fact that you have any criticism for him at all surprises me.

Bombastic, ludicrous statements backed up by nothing more than sheer vitriol. It's right up your alley. You're welcome, again, to attempt backing up any of these statements you've made -- or, if you choose, to just keep making loud statements instead.

isn't that funny, you demand me to back up any statement I make, but yet say nothing to dudeguyy about backing up his claims of the republicans.. Why is that zoogs, oh yeah, you agree, so no facts required.

That is called being a hypocrite, and it seems to fit nicely!

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

And Obama is a communist.

Who said that? I sure didn't, or are you confused again?

for clarity I said this.

Obama and the Clintons are about as Socialist as they come.

You also said that he was a communist, and you knew this because, "his record speaks for itself.. as well as his upbringing and those he looked up to.. all communist."

reread what I said.. It is not saying he is a communist. I said his upbringing (referring to those around him) and those he looked up to (mentors) where all communist.

EDIT: Thus influencing his Socialist ideals. I mean, didn't someone also say socialist are not all communist?

Here we are once again having another thread get high jacked by a couple posters that can't seem to handle any post I make, and thus demand everything I say be backed up with facts, while ignoring others who post the same type of message.. just one these posters agree with.

Your posts are the only ones calling Obama and Clinton socialists, so they absolutely are not the same type of message as what anyone else is posting.
