  • Not a bad day for us, net gain of three territories
  • We successfully stamped out Chaos's presence in the northwest. They still control both Kansas territories, though, so we need to make sure they don't spread from there.
  • It wasn't a great day for our biggest ally, Michigan, who lost a lot of territories. They still hold onto first place, though.
  • Right now, we hold Western Kentucky, and I'd like to see us strike from our position there. Ohio State has been expanding their presence in that area, Georgia Tech is open to attack in Middle Tennessee, and it looks like A&M is moving into that area to connect to their allies and get away from Michigan.

@nic You know that's yesterday's map, right? :P

Yup. They are a day delayed. Sounds like chaos is organized against you guys. At least Michigan thinks so.

  • We're currently in a three-way tie for second place. Let's see if we can break the tie :thumbs
  • Ohio State is all the way back in fifth place, lol. We're now in position out east to attack them on their home turf, which they don't seem to have been too prepared for.
  • Georgia Tech has been a pain out west. If you've received an order to attack a Michigan territory out there, it's a deal we have in place with the Wolverines to help contain GT - they don't care which of us gets the territory, as long as it's not GT. As with Ohio State, we're now in a position to start hitting them on their home turf, so let's hit it!
  • Chaos is annoying as always. We took the two Kansas territories from them, but they took Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Tulsa (prev Texas). Need to recapture Lincoln and hold Wyoming to keep them from spreading westward again.

End of day 42? 8 turns left?

There’s an end?  I’m serious.

I’m assuming we will have Nebraska back tonight. And at some point we’ll have to break up with Michigan, right?  Can’t wait for those memes.

Yeah, it ends after 50 turns. We aren't planning to break our alliances at the end, but we'll almost certainly end some non-aggression pacts in the last-minute land grab.

  • The west is kind of a mess at the moment, thanks to GT. Most of our effort this turn will be spent cleaning things up out there, and pushing against Chaos.
  • We lost some of our eastern territories tonight. We need to keep a foothold in that area for late-game pushes.
  • Texas managed to grab some of GT's home territories, so there's that. They're ahead of A&M on the leaderboard right now, despite A&M having vastly more players.

We seem to be doing pretty well given our lack of players

that was a call to action.

@krc1995 Yeah, all things considered, we punch well above our weight. Wisconsin has about 35% more players than we do, but yet we have higher star power than they do.

Honestly, if there's a next game, what I think would be cool is a Big Ten Alliance. I mean look at the leaderboard: four of the top six teams are from the Big Ten. We'd probably mop the floor with the rest of the country.
