AR Husker Fan
Sorry but Burt Reynalds did a better job than Adam Sandler at that same role. So I rather have Burt. did you know Burt Reynolds was once a pro-prospect at QB? i read it in my Uncle John's Bathroom Reader a couple of months back. Actually, it was running back - for Florida State, as I recall. Quote Link to comment
KansasHusker
hello, (1) the 2 juco qb's who NU will be watching throughout their soph seasons are (both have some athleticism & speed): cade cooper 6'3", 195, 4.5, snow cc, & bryan savage 6'3", 215, 4.7, coffeyville cc (2) simms is boston coll's to lose - also, one of his good friends, & pitch & catch-high school teammate ryan lindsey (if you watch simm's highlights you will see lindsey a lot) will be a fr at bc, & he wants to be a lot closer to home than his older bro was, therefore bc & simms are high on each other I'm thinking we should give this Savage a ring. Cooper is from the same JC as Victory Haines. Quote Link to comment
hootin' annie's goatfarm
hello, o.k., here is some of the crazy/wild things that I am hearing (guesswork & rumors, of course, w/ no real facts or merits of any kind) that cooper could leave cc (e.g. lyle moevao), because he has already qualified to play D1 - in 2001, he was close to committing to a schollie out of hs from utah, prior to his 2 yr lds mission: http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=8&c=1&nid=2629281 p.s. problem is he does not have a schollie, & split time starting at qb at snow, last yr, yet he did complete 62% of his passes - & NU did take a similar chance before (a couple of yrs prior) w/ jordan adams, who is now a significantly backup saf 2nd p.s. but who knows what cally & co's next move is? Washusker
Eric------Where in NU sitting with any more HS QB's........or is NU 1 and done with Witt. Has Simms' son committed anywhere yet? You almost HAVE to get another high school QB, don't you?? We are terribly thin at the most important position. I say we get another JUCO and another HS kid. Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
i heard through the grapevine that a QB, goes by Sean Canfield, is making his way to NU for a visit in the next couple of days. He signed his LOI to Oregon St, but went to juco instead. anybody else hear this? edit: signed in 05. i think he was an elite 11 QB.. i cant remember though. he didnt go to juco because of academics i think. like Moevao. edit #2: another source of mine says its Brian Hindlebrand. conflicting information. take it for what its worth. pigsonthewing
after further review, im guessing its Brian Hindlebrand. i looked at oregon st.'s roster and he isnt listed, while Sean Canfield is. Quote Link to comment
NU fan in Denver
This is what I found on Brian so far. Link Looks like he was on the team in 05, but did not play. Here is his page from Scout. Quote Link to comment
NU fan in Denver
Looks like he goes to Mount San Antonio College. Here's the link. I keep getting errors opening up the roster, but his name is in the game stats for last year. I also found this story. Scout Quote Link to comment
benjibean1
If he is the one and he comes to NU and starts. That would be the second QB in a row that makes crazy face when throwing. I think it will be the new fad. Quote Link to comment
nu4everfan15
does anyone think there is a chance we try to pull an already commited qb like say lee from lsu or something now that beck is gone? Quote Link to comment
